Will the Australian M1A2 SEPv3 go to the British tech tree?

No US as a better Squadron vehicle.

I can totally see Britain getting the SEPv3 when the U.S. does

Play USA for every US vehicle? nope

Play EVERY other nation and get better variants without the USAs counter part. YES

SepV3 is unlikely to be added anytime soon because it’ll be too OP. It will already have a new shell and new armor.

SEP v3 shoud’ve been added 2 years back together with the Leopard 2A7V and T-90M.

I don’t see how it would be OP in any way, most likely it’d just be a M1A2 SEP sidegrade.
The SEP v3 weighs 66.7 metric tons and thus will suffer a mobility penalty, in return it features improved hull and turret armour, but that won’t matter significantly because:

  • Turret cheeks of a base M1A2 SEP are already immune to any and all APFSDS projectiles head-on.
  • Hull of the SEP v3 (very likely) won’t achieve the necessary protection values to defeat 12.7 APFSDS, the volume of the hull composites weren’t increased and thus we’re likely to only see an increase to around about 505mm (assuming Gaijin models any improvement to begin with).
  • People will still just aim for the exposed turret ring, mantlet or sides as they always do, at that point it does not matter if the LFP is 370mm or 670mm, people will just bypass it.
  1. The M1A2 SEP v3 isn’t guaranteed to receive Trophy APS, the SEP v2 could just as easily mount it.
  2. SEP v3 isn’t guaranteed to receive M829A3, the SEP v2 could just as easily be equipped with it.
  3. The M1A2 SEP v3 does not feature improved thermals, this was planned for the SEP v4 which was cancelled and moved to the M1E3 program that’s still in development.
  4. The SEP v2 already has LWR modeled.

I agree. They should have also introduced the M830A3 primary round into the game.
