Right, but you see, Gaijin sees this and will only read it as “increased battery life time” other than anything else. Just like they see HOBS capability as being able to launch but not hit. Gaijin really wants us to pull a document that specifically states every single technical capability of the missile, except everything about this missile is actually classified.

Simply stating “better HOBS capability” isn’t enough

Well this time they just said the aim120c and aim120d perform the same

I think that’s exactly it, they don’t really know how the missiles work from the AIM-120B upwards.
So it’s all up to them, and we can’t do anything about it
Just accepting all American planes will be ass forever

But I’ve been saying this for some time now, these debates end up being a waste of time because they don’t offer any solutions. What I believe is that over time we may start to see changes in the missiles as new weapons are introduced into the game, but in the short term it’s very difficult to see any changes. However, in my opinion, American missiles are good at the moment.
yea so what’s the point of adding it lmao
sure it has IOG or whatever the C5 and A/B variant wont have, but its nothing major to actually help the planes that are receiving it. The core issue of aim120 is that they are so gimped and adding new one that are still gimped wont help anyone

AIM-120D-1 and D-2 cannot have more range than the C-7 by 50%, that is a compeletly fake number and is not possible. They are the same exact missile with different software/seekers, thats it. The only missile that actually has longer range is the D-3 due to having a longer motor.
Yea wonder that too seams to add nothing of value
They could buff the seeker(mica seeker)
They could add the possibility to reengage data link
They could maybe buff the engine
But nope nothing
