But I’ve been saying this for some time now, these debates end up being a waste of time because they don’t offer any solutions. What I believe is that over time we may start to see changes in the missiles as new weapons are introduced into the game, but in the short term it’s very difficult to see any changes. However, in my opinion, American missiles are good at the moment.

sure it has IOG or whatever the C5 and A/B variant wont have, but its nothing major to actually help the planes that are receiving it. The core issue of aim120 is that they are so gimped and adding new one that are still gimped wont help anyone

AIM-120D-1 and D-2 cannot have more range than the C-7 by 50%, that is a compeletly fake number and is not possible. They are the same exact missile with different software/seekers, thats it. The only missile that actually has longer range is the D-3 due to having a longer motor.

They could buff the seeker(mica seeker)

Not really since the compartment hasnt changed and most of the fighters China has come from Russia for the most part so it is totally possible that they used said patent to make new cm blocks of their own to fit on the jet

any information this patent was used for the j15 and its not just a paper blueprint?
Hopefully the devs will acknowledge the reports for the aim120 models and improve the wing area coefficient to levels comparable with other missiles. This should improve the missile quite a lot. Enough better missiles have been added now that the initial nerf 120 received for balance is no longer needed.

Yes this is accurate, the issue is that ALL of the 120’s were nerfed when they were first introduced to make them more balanced, because they had by far the best range initially.
