likely not because nobody really plays them, and if they’re ever removed even less people will
theyre gonna be stuck there forever
Having just started playing the new Thai F-84G, after spading all 3 R2Y2s, you’re completely off your rocker to suggest that.
Even completely stock I can already run rings around the R2Y2.
There is not a single reason in hell the R2Y2 deserves to be above 7.7. I argued for 7.3 before it even got raised to 8.0, and they are pure hanger decorations at that BR.
R2Y2 climb rate is also average (if it was 7.3, horrible for 8.0 where it actually is and has to contend with MiG15s and F-86s AT ITS OWN BR) and has no airspawn, yet sits all the way up there.
F-84Gs can abuse their airspawn to be much higher than anyone else and deny the enemy team from going high. R2Y2 can’t.
Also you didn’t remove the fuel tanks from your F-84, so it will go even higher.
Are the fuel tanks actually modelled on the F84s now? Last time I checked there was no difference between having them on and off.
This is the main reason why I think the F-84B and G are undertiered. They should either move up in BR, or lose their airspawn. Their airspawn allows them to be higher than anything else, and it forces the enemy team to dive to gain speed.
There is just no argument for good fighter aircraft to have an airspawn.
I haven’t flown the thai F-84G yet, waiting for a friend to get it so we can fly it together. Drop tank drag seems modeled in high tier jets so I don’t see why it wouldn’t here. And extra weight is extra weight.
They’re non-removable.
Modern problems require modern solutions
It’s gonna be hidden eventually so chances are it won’t be changing BRs any time soon. If you ask me the BR for all 3 R2Y’s should be V1: 6.7, V2: 7.0, and V3->Remains on 7.3.
I think that’s a bit low in my opinion, since that would put them at a lower BR than the Me-262 or sk60, while at the same BR as an A21RB.
7.3-7.7(with decompression) would be fine for all of them, since they perform nearly the same afaik.
Generally, they’re not fighters but fighter bombers. From my experience, they are incredibly sluggish. If you honestly ask me about some vehicles should get dynamic BR changes. But knowing Gaijin this would not be a very smart idea.
Final chance to take this back before I prove you wrong.
I am trying to ask someone solo with me by using ME262 or HO229, it seems that R2Y2 is pretty hard to do against most of 7.0-7.3 jets.
I’ve been playing these recently a bit, to get the module research bonuses for towards higher vehicles, as well as just to get them done with (I’ve had them a long time but not played them much).
My own thoughts are these are definitely not 8.0 planes. 7.7 easily and maybe even 7.3. So many games there are 9.0 vehicles (I don’t memorise all vehicle BRs, but when I see an F3H in most games…), or the higher BR (8.7,9.0) Sabres… even the 8.0/8.3 Sabre/Migs are very common and are so much faster and way better climb rate.
When I do good in a game it seems to either be that most people are dead before I’ve got to the battle, and the remaining battle is far away so it’s a lot of AI targets for me, or getting unaware/don’t care players who are going for AI, or I’ve got lucky and survived 3 or 4 head-ons (while the other people didn’t).
I think they are a bit zombied by Gaijin due to their unpopular inclusion (not for me though) and probably planned removal from the game at some point. Or maybe not enough people play them to make meaningful stats for BR changes… Or maybe just a lot of people are way better at them then I am (very possible).
I just try that, to be honest, unless enemy is foolish or hasn’t noticed you, any 7.7-8.0 even 7.3 BR plane can easily kill you, I even try to solo with me262, can’t take any advantage…, the fear of R2Y2 is when it has air respawn, when Gaijin remove that, it is nothing.
I have already try to use F3D to compare with R2Y2, except for the 30mm gun, I think F3D is better than R2Y2, especially it can take 2*2000 pounds bomb and have an air respawn point in ARB, I still can’t understand why R2Y2 should be 8.0, even back to 7.0 is fine.
Yes, I almost forgot that, F3D is a very good example to prove R2Y2 needs back to 7.0-7.3, R2Y2 has better climb rate but fewer loadouts and radar, but the most important is it doesn’t have air respawn points, to be honest it is pretty hard to find someone play R2Y2.
Still sad for Gaijin not rise R2Y2 back to 7.0-7.3, now they have already forgotten and totally destroyed by Gaijin’s horrible statistics
