I see that J-7II, based on F-13 airframe, is set to receive 250-2 fire bombs in the update of “Hornet’s Sting”. But will J-7D, based on MF airframe, be compatible?
J-7D loadout (missing -2 type bombs)
The J-7D appears to use the same mountings as MiG-21BIS and MiG-21F-13, in which we can see in the case of F-13, it is compatible with M54 style bombs (250-2).

i think 250-2 fire bombs are compatible on J-7D
but J-7D already did very well in air-to-air battles
considering fire bombs have very little use in game outside of bombing bases, and the J-7D can carry 4 very good missiles, I beg of you do not carry or use the fire bombs instead of carrying the full missile load.
fire bombs are honestly in my opinion the worst armament addition to this game, they have arguably negatively impacted many BRs, and never should’ve been added

Gaijin considers base bombing as valid gameplay, considering that they reward you about 70% battle activity for destroying a base, similar outcome to one kill.
I have nothing against bombing bases, but we already had bombs, we didn’t need something else to do it with, and you can do more than just bomb bases with conventional bombs, its basically all fire bombs are good for though
and when fire bombs are so inconsistent in their use by nations it gets rather silly.
between an F4 and a tornado, you’d expect the tornado (the bomber that struggles with doing anything else to be the more effective bomber but because its limited to carrying heavy, conventional bombs it will rarely beat the F4 to the base as the F4 can carry much lighter fire bombs, even though the F4 can be very effective fighting planes when the tornado is limited in that ability, its not exactly fair, nor does it make for enjoyable gameplay, arguably for either party.
Fair enough. Also partially it’s poor balancing, where attackers does not receive air spawn or something that benefits them.
