About 2 years ago from today there was a development blog for crew stun mechanics. I’d like see them come back for realism and to help with the light tanks eating rounds issue. If you are penetated you are likely dead anyways if in a medium tank so it’d only affect hits that didn’t pen but did cause minor damage to the crew.
The way it was described was definitely a bit flawed. No one would like tinnitus in a game with this many loud sounds, but the other features would help with immersion.
There’s a good video on youtube that kind of portrays what it’d look like. (timestamped)
I didn’t get to vote on the APHE change because it was kind of strange how you were meant to vote in the first place. I also wasn’t as active in the forums if it was held here during that time, but now looking back at it, the change would’ve been appreciated. Not that my single vote would’ve mattered, but I feel like it wasn’t that well announced to players in the first place.
I know this is not gonna be popular among the competitives out there, but I don’t think those players should have the largest say in the first place.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I would like to see vehicles being stunned for a couple seconds after being shot, even if a big caliber round didn’t penetrate. It’s quite strange to see how responsive tanks are in WT.
So that tanks like the premium SAV and the Japanese top tier tanks get a 100% kill even if the didnt pen?
That will just cause tanks with a low reload to win every time as they just need to fire the first shot to stun and then can follow up when the enemy is stunned
Hell no, stun is already incredibly annoying in The Other Tank Game and I don’t want to see it here. Detailed modules alone are already more than enough to keep tanks from just eating shots.
I’d sooner get almost any other addition. The sound thing would be horrible and I don’t need games to hurt my ears. Actual stuns in games are horrible, as they take away player agency and shut them down. Tons of games, especially PvP games actually got rid of it.
And tanks like the 2s38 would become incredibly good this way.
