Why Would You Only Add This to Some Tanks and Not All?

So Now you are telling me if i got shot in the engine I wont be able to shoot my gun or anything?

I never understood the argument of adding vehical ruining features to some tanks (turret basket) and not all at the same time? May someone explain?

Why they can’t all come at once

As mentioned quite a while ago , implementing new modules takes a lot of time. Whenever there is a change to a vehicle, modules like this are also affected in some way and need to be updated. The issue we’d face here if we modelled them and then left them aside while working on other baskets, is that when the time would come to add everything there would likely be significant changes to the vehicles. This would require additional time to make the modules work again, as they’d be months out of date (this is also why regularly a vehicle will receive several changes in one go). As vehicles are updated frequently it is not feasible to ‘park’ features like this for very long.

Rounding off

These reworks are not exclusive to the Abrams and Leopard and are just the first tanks we’re working on, and over the year we’ll be adding more. We’ll still be implementing baskets for the Abrams and Leopard in the Hornet’s Sting major update, with the damage model and x-ray discussed above. And as mentioned, more will come over time.

Alright, that makes sense. But also would it not be better to add the features to at least the big 3 nations to start if we cant all at once? Because now assuming when the update releases this feature only applies to the Abrams Russia and Germany are going to have a massive advantage over the US (sense you can take out the gun from shooting the engine especially) I could be mistaken but it seems really unfair still sense majority of the players play those three and if one of those nations receives a nerf like that many are affected

Same with those, I dont play many IFV’s but I heard that having that feature kinda ruins it. But once again, I dont have experience on it…

Im also not saying that it should be removed or is an AWFUL addition, Im all for more realistic tank modules, but when something like this is added I feel it MIGHT create an unbalance between vehicals that have it and dont

Disabling the FCS only takes out the stabilizer on MBTs

These specific types of vehicles, people were tired of shooting them and basically doing nothing center mass, so now they have genuine weaknesses besides HE or HEAT if it decides that they don’t just bust on a tiny pixel.

Oh okay, it seems i was mistaken about what the FCS does, i was thinking it controlled the ability to shoot as well. thank you for the clarification :).

Not the actual engine, it’s because part of the power system is located at the back near the engine, if only the engine is hit and not the power system then those controls will not be effected.

He’s literally just talking out of his behind.
You can fire without FCS on MBTs. Light tanks and SPAA often cannot (consistency issues with them)
