Great source, where has he said this? Sec def Carter as far as I am concerned has not noted on this particular missile. Can u provide an interview, a comment, a video or podcast even just some website?
And then the US is strapping 1900lb missiles to the outside of their stealth fighter, which is not great for being, well, stealthy. As I said before, the AIM-260 is still being developed because it serves a different purpose than the 174, similar to the Meteor. You can take it in an internal bay to avoid compromising stealth, as well as just carry more due to the size and weight.
There are advanatages and disadvantages to both the AMRAAM and the AIM-174, neither is strictly better than the other.

ive always wondered if carrying JASSM on something like an F-35 affected its stealth that much since the JASSM is stealthy aswell
Maybe not as much, but it still definitely does compromise stealth, as anything on an external hardpoint that changes the silhouette will have an effect. It’s not a completely damning flaw, as just like the 174, it has enough range to still justify a use, but it’s not a be-all end-all.

Well, in fact. there are not many things to discuss about the engine on the F-15E/I.
Americans asked about their ‘historical’ PW-229 engine.
Gaijin granted them.
PW-229 engine was overperforming than it should in ‘historical’
Gaijin adjusted them and it can be seen as nerf.
nothing has changed in an unhistorical way.
F-15E got its historical engine on their major-produced version. and adjusted FM bc the engine was overperforming.

not much of things have changed. F-15E/I might not fly as fast as before but still, it will be the best 4th gen fighter in this game unless the better 4.5th gen shows up later.

Not all of the American mains are an ass, there are much more of good American mains.
Still, Personally think OP’s POV about the main topic was quite nasty double-standarding.
- Accepts the new ‘historical’ engine because it is buff
- Resist to the new ‘historical’ adjusted FM because it is nerf, and it is demotivating.
I guess the Forum moderator might consider closing this topic bc this was originally created as a ‘crying post’.
and every flaw which was in OP’s claim has been defeated too.
