It’s a very potent tank destroyer with a gun that is even found in 7.7. It also has a way shorter reload than the three other tanks that also use this gun.
I recently used the tank in my 6.0 lineup and it was performing well.
What are you thoughts on this?
Likely they noticed people using it to effectively complete SPG-required BP tasks and last BP challenge so had to nip that in the bud to prevent marginally enjoyable/easier grinds.
I think it’s the first time i’m so pissed off after an upgrade…
Yes… the Sturer is one of my favorite tank
Yes… it WAS my main asset to complete a lot of f…ng tasks
(i guess the F word is there to show how pissed off i am)
M. Snail… if you read me, you should understand that most of the average players like me :
1°) have a life, have kids, a job, etc…
2°) have some fun playing to complete some tasks, but sometimes not at all : some other tasks are just boring and/or difficult & i will spend useless hours to complete them, cursing you every 5 mn
Sturer BR 4.3 → 4.0 : idc
Rank III → Rank II = no tasks : this is just outrageous, petty… i have no words, especialy according to the amount of money & time i spend on your game (i’m perfectly aware i have a kind of addiction)
Since how many YEARS the Sturer was a rank III tank ?
& what about some other nations with tanks at Rank III with a 3.7 BR ???
That’s so petty from you M. Snail…
This was the actual reason. Moving the Emil down means it faces tanks that are faster and with higher rates of fire, that can still very easily destroy it. Its not like the gun even struggles at 5.0.
Its on the german TT, so probably player stats
You say this when the bp is complete garbage every patch.
Even if true, It just makes it worse for Emil. Its problem is not tanks being too armored or having guns that kill it easy. Its that it can be easily out-maneuvered and be penned by every gun. And guess what, lower BR tanks are generally more mobile, with higher rates of fire.
That’s what “addiction” means… I think I never missed one single daily or special task because, you know, it would be the end of the world : I would miss the many “free” “gifts” the holy lord snail is giving to me, poor serf.
… and you shouldn’t use blasphemy calling “garbage” the “holy free gifts” BP, it’s baaaad.
I use many of those wonderful items !!!
…
OK, some of them
…
OK the M551(76) & the Kungstiger, let’s say about the others that I didn’t gave them a chance… yet
About the Sturer, I disagree : I’m using it very often in a 5.7 / 6.0 lineup… which is, as you know, often uptiered… and it shines ! I killed countless heavy tanks…
You should understand that the main little thing that makes the Sturer so unique & priceless is the 15° gun depression… once you understood you should stay far & behind a hill you can start the duck hunt…
I see no other alternative in any tech trees to use with a same gameplay
I’m pissed of, for example, about the spider task : it was so easy with the Sturer… how I’ll do now :'(
Rank 2 now, they just don’t want people to play interesting TDs.
yes potent gun with only 15 rounds, same caliber not same gun as on JT, MAUS & E-100. they get the same ammo with more pen, 20-ish on PzGr, 30-ish on the PzGr 43.
the Emil only has the gun, with excellent depression and penetration for its tier. Mobility and armor are pathetic. even one of the loaders is casually leaning over the side, prime target for any MG or fragments from bombs or arty.
As for the reload, that is balancing at it finest by Gaijin, looking at 88mm’s, vehicles like the Nashorn and Ferdinand that have two loaders get and Ace reload of 6.7 sec, the JP with only one loader gets an Ace reload of 7.5 sec.
But all 128mm armed vehicles have two loaders, so there is no reason for them to have a different reload, iirc JT, Maus, E-100 have loading equipment to help, not sure about Emil. the difference is a full 4 seconds, there should be enough internal space to allow for similar reloads even if the space is fully enclosed.
As for why down in BR / Tier, it has already happende multiple times in the past that strong line ups at the bottom of the required tier and as low in BR as possible, were favored for doing tasks and BP tasks.
theses line-ups could secure max points with the least amount of effort, while up-tiering would be the logical result, they would still be available. So removing them from the equation by moving them down in tier but not in BR would not be a nerf or buff, but would still “balance” their use for task / BP.
Or could be something else entirely, before the dropped in both BR and Tier , the Pz IV H/J could be used with the Stug G as the lowest BR tier 3’s, now unless you use premium’s which can create a line-up as low as 4.0. Now the lowest tier three line up GER can create is 5.7, 4.7 if you forgo the Tiger 1 and use mostly TD’s.
This has been done for most of the main Tech trees, with a few exception, JPN can create a 3.3 line up, where as ISR can only create a tier 4, 6.0 line up.
