The 125 mm gun was supposed to fire those new rounds. FnF GL-ATGM and Vacuum-1 APFSDS. Both are 125mm, and were supposed to be used on Armata specifically

because the 2 NATO tanks are actually being built and are just newer version of vehicles with known qualitites which Gaijin can build on. The T14 is once again a bag of complete and utter non knowledge and guesswork
it’s fair to say modern NATO MBTs are “on solid ground”: their capabilities are broadly known, proven, and predictable. it’s too pessimistic to dismiss T-14 entirely as fantasy: many of its novel design features do exist, and if the problems were resolved, it could be added

I dont think anyone is disputing that the T14 and its features do exist in some capacity but lets do the comparison with the 2A8. We know the gun and ammunition of it except for the super new DM83, we know the engine, we know the APS, we dont know the exact armor but Gaijin doesnt care about that anyway at the end of the day its just a crazy cracked Leopard 2. For the T14 almost everything is new and not seen on better known russian Tanks. It could be added for sure but the amount of guesswork would be insane and open doors for so many guesstimate additions.
The issue is less on IRL and more on Gaijin imo.
Gaijin have this wierd habbit of being a bit conservative with unknown information for 9/10 nations (and heck, hundreds of reports are sat unfixed for even known information) and optimistic for 1/10 nations. 3 guesses as to which nation seems to get favoured?
Most recently for example. LMURs have correct flight paths that actually impact tanks in the right way to do maximum damage, reports for similar flight paths have been submitted years ago for Hellfire, PARS, Spikes, etc etc and still not fixed and the JAGM-MR just got a C&P of the Hellfire.
Or Soviet ERA able to stop tandem warhead AGMs

The concern would be that the T-14, would just get optimistic stats.
Sure, it will probably be added, and there is little anyone can say or do to change that, but that concern does exist that it will have crazy stats and be the meta tank because Gaijin have decided it needs to be the meta tank. Just like they did with top tier coastal, bluewater and helis. Dreading what they add for air, Su-30SM is already very strong when played towards its strengths

Yes, this is what players often refer to as the Russian bias. Don’t forget that the ammunition rack that once hit the T80BVM didn’t necessarily explode. So on the T14, this situation could be even more exaggerated.

Literally shot on a side of a T80UD with a dart and did 0 damage without even penning it
shot a second time,still the same but somehow damage only fuel tank

That is just plain BS. My Russian tanks don’t survive side shots. and my Japanese, USA and German tanks have ZERO issue killing Russian tanks. Most of my Type 16 kills where made on Russian tanks in a line up with the Type 10…2… sorry now 3 BRs above its rank
