had a good laugh reading this, top notch. Reading people argue over whether:
- To turn the premium hornets into a 14.0 amraam slinger hornets
- Whether or not preferencial treatment, in terms of br, is fair (and no, relativising it to other op/overly compressed platforms doesn’t make it liable to the same treatment)
- What level, owned vehicles, and experience in a completely different mode have to do with experience
- How AIM-54C+ and Fakour-90 are OP
- How to skew statistics by lowering sample size
- Whether or not plane A is equivalent to plane B
- Which jet at rank IX can claim the title of worst
- How pay-to-win doesn’t exist
- If the F-15EX has 20 (later changed to 22) AMRAAMs
- If it thus can carry the supposedly existent AMBER racks
- How the C 2040 mock-up shows that the EX can integrate them
a lot of this boiled down to fallacies; anyways, back to whatever i was doing before deciding to give my tuppence about this trainwreck

I’m not asking for aim120 for f/a-18c early I’m just curious how much of a big difference is the f/a-18c early to the f-18c late (14.0 one) would both be a 14.0 aircraft or would one be bad enough to be in 13.7?

So even with the f/a18c early less fm and apg65 it’s comparable to the or better than the f-18c both have the same performance at that point what the point In The upgrades f-18C Finnish has does it bring anything to the table to better than the last model?

This was answered by Smin when Finnish players asked for the worst 14.0 hornet to go down to 13.7, Gaijin has no plans to reduce the Hornets loadout even if it would allow the vehicle to perform better then it currently does.
You might want to check it’s weight and performance data on Statshark. It weighs the same as a F/A-18A. It has an incredible flight performance. Smin should’ve mentioned the weight as a “defence”. But then he really couldn’t as empty weight is considered a “secret” by Gaijin and can’t be bug reported as they don’t accept datamined information. It shouldn’t be as light as it is.

You did know the Fins had them removed of all their Ground targeting computers which reduced the weight but not enough to require counterweights right?
This is fairly well known, it weighs less because it simply does have those computers in it as at the time Finland was still under their treaty with Russia from WW2 which prevented Finland from having ground based weapons on fighters
Idk he might be on to something maybe having 1° better AOA means it should go up in BR to maybe 14.7? Might be too low but you know that’s such an important factor over having a HMS or upgraded RWR
It’s the best F-18C FM without a doubt, but the lack of HMD still makes it inferior to the others
Idk Mora seems to think 400kg reduced weight means it’s on par with the rest, I mean honestly at this point with his logic it’s shocking the Thailand F/A-18/C is 14.0 since it weighs nearly 200kg more than the basic F/A-18/C maybe that should go down since weight is the most important aspect of an aircraft, not the radar, HMS, or missiles

Its closer to 600kg. Probably a bigger relative difference than the F-16A block10 vs block15 which is noticeable. Although not the reason to put it at a different BR still.
