Suggestion: AIM-120B for the German premium Swiss F/A-18C
I would like to suggest adding the AIM-120B to the 12.7 German premium Swiss F/A-18C.
The current aircraft has the AIM-7P and AIM-9L, which are still useful missiles, but in an uptier it can face aircraft equipped with Fox 3 missiles. This puts the Hornet at a significant BVR disadvantage, especially because the AIM-7P requires continuous radar guidance while fighting against active radar missiles.
I am not asking for the aircraft to receive AIM-120B while staying at 12.7. If necessary, I would be completely fine with increasing its BR to 13.0 or 13.3 to account for the improved armament.
The main reasons I think this would be a reasonable change are:
- The Swiss F/A-18C historically received the AIM-120B.
- It would give the aircraft a more competitive BVR capability.
- A BR increase could compensate for the stronger missile.
- It would make the premium Hornet more enjoyable and competitive without simply keeping it at the current BR.
I think AIM-120B + an appropriate BR increase would be a fair compromise.

Tbf only 1 hornet at 14.0 is technically what this thing would be, and the F-18C is considered the worst of all the hornets but I can’t imagine someone wanting that thing lmao, people already hate the good models of Hornet why would they want the worst one?
But theres only a tech tree version of that

Yeah you have a Swiss hornet for that you don’t need the good version at 12.7 getting nerfed
I dont ask for it to stay at that BR specifically. But when it gets up tiered into 13.3 13.7 it literally vannot do anythinf againt the more modern aircrafts which have better missiles. And thats germanies highest br premium so for that price it should get better missiles because I think it has a BVR disadvantage against better missiles

The C5 are worse in a lot aspects
Main job of the swiss hornet is being a decent multi role premium for GRB

It would still raise the br of the swiss F18 to 14.0

It’s already in the tech tree.
The premium is 12.7 for a reason, and moving it to 14.0 would make no sense when you can just play the tech tree one.

That’s hilariously untrue.
It lacks radar HMS, the improved RWR and any form of CAS. While also having no longer range AMRAAM which is a debatable downside, regardless it has nothing going for it
I’m gonna assume you either didn’t notice I said F-18C specifically referring to the one that is named F-18C in game and assumed I meant the Cs in General
