The real life vehicles that use the RARDEN cannon do not need an electrical fire control. The RARDEN cannon is gas operated for the ejection and chambering of new shells. This proved to be a very reliable accurate and deadly cannon in service with the Royal Armed forces. So on the topic of the Scimitar was does it even have batteries associated with the FCS at all let alone the FCS associated with a gun that doesn’t need electrical power to operate. Same as the turret its manually cranked.
Secondly the Scimitar at least the early ones had night sights with image intensification. Also where able to do upwards of 70MPH with the restrictor removed and i find myself in game being well out paced by tanks like the bulldog and Israeli cents.

FCS has nothing to do with firing the gun it controllers the aiming of the hun (horizontal and verticle turret drive) as well as actually firing the gun (pulling the electric trigger)
The Scimitar is not the fastest tank in the world.

that is the Fv101 scorpion.
Maybe not fastest, but on the same base.)
1 the gun has manual override control 2 the turret and laying drive where manual as in the gunner has to spin the rack I do believe it was hydraulically assisted like power steering would be in a older car or truck. If the power was gone the systems could all still be used.
lol still very close to it same engine tranny and hull so it just feels really underwhelming when in combat you will basically not see over 20mph really as its so slow to accelerate.
Do you mean commander override?
No like in real life the gun could be fired mechanically. With no electrical power. Its a part of the reason the British kept the gun for so long it was reliable and always up and ready for use.

you got any reliable and confirmed evidence of that?

YES: file bug report
No: do nothing
Irl the RARDEN also had a horrible clip reloading process. I have found information from a gunner on the Warrior.
If you fire all 6 rounds you have to do a complete unload and reload which takes over 30 seconds to do, you have to fire 3 rounds, insert a new clip, rinse and repeat. If you fire 4 rounds and load a new clip you have a gap in feed and the 30 second reload starts again.
Sometimes wanting to get super realistic detail on vehicles can end up hurting them more than benefitting them.

I’ve read the same report and all he said was that you need to have another clip inserted before the 3 rounds was up or the weapon would need to be cleared safe. He also states that it can hold 6 rounds at once and that would actually help the RARDEN.
If anything, I feel the stabilised sight should be added, even if it’s only available in “surveillance mode”. There must be some kind of way that could be implemented but Gaijin would probably give the vehicle flappy cat ears before they do that.
Nah. It’s just a mechanical gearbox with coarse or fine gear for changing the rotation rate.
Only Warrior and some export CVR(t)s had any kind of power traverse fitted
Yea, I’m 99% sure most crews who serve on the Warrior absolutely hate it. It lacks features that other common IFVs like BMPs and Bradley’s have because of questionable design specs. No electronics in case a nuke goes off? Well I’m certain nobody gives a damn about fighting anymore if a nuke goes off
Lmao the living space would be nice you cannot compare it with a BPM the BPM has a metal toilet and no air scrubbers meaning foul smell if you ever have to button up.
Poop chute is nice and all but doesn’t change the fact that weaponry system is heavily out of date.
You know there is a second Mk2 RARDEN right the L21A2 with a better barrel and improved the firing systems it also has a ROF listed as 90RPM. The one we have in game is the L21A1.
