ALSO! Could you let us know what the crew level is for the tank you are having issues with? Things get MUCH better/easier the higher your crew skill level gets. AND I would very highly recommend buying “Expert Training” on the vehicles you are using. Helps sooooo much, especially when your crew slot’s skill level is still low (if you do not know about Expert Training, just let me know and I will post some screenshots showing and explaining further.)
I see! SO! If you DO still want a premium vehicle anyway, I would very much suggest getting a mid Rank/BR premium vehicle. Really best not to skip ahead too far 😉 Futhermore, I would recommend a Tier 3 or 4 premium vehicle. Tier 1 and 2’s can be fun, but they will not work for many tasks, including the Battlepass tasks. Might not matter to you right now, but best to get a minimum of Tier 3. Also, the RP and SL bonuses start going up much higher once you get to Rank 3 or 4 premium.
This next suggestion is VERY important! PLEASE ask us for some advice before you decide on a specific premium vehicle! Most are good, but there are a few that you might want to avoid, or there being a better option etc etc etc. Will save you a lot of grief, and money lol, if you let us give you some feedback on your potential premium choice before you click buy 👍

Im similar rank (3-4) in 4 nations, dont have a main. I wanted to do GB but no chance as solid shot all the way. Looking at america it looks just as bad at present. Would do germany but have no air. Which leaves ruski

Mr @Morvran if you have any comments for our friend here. AND in case he does decide he would like to purchase a premium GB ground vehicle, what would you recommend. Probably Rank 4 or 5, I need to check how far down the GB tree he is.

Im bad help for low BRs, I hate dealing with APDS too so I dont play GRB below 9.0
Challenger DS is very solid, as is the Khalid if that is still purchasable

I feel that. I know the kill shots in a 3.7 Sherman vs ram with its AP feels like it should be BRs away from each other
Sherman you pen most around BR = dead. RAM has to hit a mm spot to kill. How is this balanced?

Wont help for some, but will help for a few and yeah. They nerfed AP to make it “realistic” and then put it to a vote to nerf APHE to be realistic and the community said no. So now they should buff AP to be stronger

So basically it was put to the vote if AP shells should to made to actually work and the vote was no. Don’t know which is worse, Gaijin having a vote for it or that people voted no to one, yes to another.

Solid shot vote= no is where Im at rn XD which equates to a broken game.
2 weeks of hit simulator has left a sour taste.
There needs to be a simple list of stuff to not use to save others the pain. Without Morvan I would of probably continued using the ram hoping it would get better (it wont)

You are trying to frontally pen an arl44 acl1 with the british 57. That wont work too well.
The turret is 100mm and the hull is 60mm sloped. Your round isnt going to pen the front hull and will barely pen some spots on the turret front.
Its sides are very weak though so you need to get an angle where you can hit its side.
What is the problem here? Im assuming it was AP doing the AP thing of not nuking crew sometimes.
You hit mutliple layers of plates which caused a non-pen.
With time, you will learn the limits of your shells and where to hit. Premium wont prevent your issue from happening. Though it is a good investment if you get it on sale.
Just keep practicing.

are you using shot mk9 on the Ram 2 (incorrectly called M4a5 in the US tree)?
as that shell is very good for 3.7. Or were you just facing T-34s?

M4A5 is the USA designation for the Ram ll. It pisses me off beyond belief cuz it is literally built on M3 Grant chassis, not a Sherman Chassis. Call it the M3A1 Lee. Even that would be more accurate for gods sake. I love Shermans and I hate that that imposter gets the same designation as the Shoimons
