Why isn’t the JAGM-F in war thunder

yeah but its limited to 2 84e

Even a Pantsir cant shoot down 28 weapons. Just had one shoot down the 6 Brimstones I fired at it. But even they have some limit on the amount of missiles they can carry

for gbu 53 couldnt they just use guns if they are a km or 2 away?

I sitll dont see it happening and if that defence works for GBU-53, then it should also work for Brimstone 1s getting FnF

If anyone knows abt any us equivalents to the kh-38mt please let us know

Closest thing is the AGM-53 Condor

TV/IIR seeker like Walleye or AGM-65D, datalink (irrelevant in WT currently) and up to M2.9 speed + big warhead. However the weapon never really entered service so there is only limited platforms it could be seen on (mainly A-6). Shame, because it is otherwise a very powerful missile.

Otherwise in terms of speed and ability to be actually mounted to modern airframes, the AGM-88 I guess. But it’s an anti radiation missile, so it’s quite different. AGM-88E potentially adds the ability to fire using onboard active guidance, but probably not effective without the anti radiation homing. AGM-88E has an additional active mmw guidance capability, but mmw is fairly limited in acquisition range. So expect not more than 10km tracking range probably, probably less, which makes it inferior to IIR missiles in-game.

For reference, AGM-114L apparenlty only has a LOBL range of up to 5km, 6km for moving targets. Beyond that is only LOAL, which is a no-go for Gaijin atm… Only acceptable form is by using a point lock, which requires LOS or by manual guidance like SALH, as long as you need to have LOS at some point.

The guns really isn’t reliable enough to destroy munitions.

Both the Stormbreaker and the JAGM-F are or should have a tri-mode seeker. IR, MMW radar and GNSS? Iirc. The F-15E should be able to carry 28 of both the JAGM and the GBU-53.

Reminder that FCR directed LOAL is a thing and the primary mode of engagement by the longbow system.

Honestly couldn’t they just give the an ir version of the agm-88

common misconception, JAGM-F has base Laser+MMW of the JAGM. JAGM-MR is trimode

I would be fine with them keeping the KH 38 MT and adding the Agm-88e with an IR seeker

AV-8B plus и F-35B тоже планируют адаптировать Agm 179 Jagm-F

Now that we have seen the absolute insane amount of kills the Gripen-E can get I think it is about time they at least introduce the GBU-53 stormbreaker as it has been in the files for almost a year now. I know they said they are also working on sead munitions but it feels like the U.S is always behind in every department

If anyone knows of a comparable agm to the kh-38mt or Hammer please feel free to share as we are trying to help balance the US air to ground weapons

the hammer isnt all that, its just a rocket boosted glide bomb, it would get beaten out by a AGM-84H or K or most high-subsonic cruise missiles with IR seekers

the KH-38MT is hard because its just Russian doctrine differences, there isnt really a counterpart for it besides maybe a AGM-88G AARGM-ER or AGM-88J SiAW for general use

Do any of those have ir seekers?

AGM-84H (which got added :) ) does have one, but other 2 have MMW as their only way of engaging a moving target

Yeah I saw the addition of the agm-84h but the only problem is its speed which I think the other two missles are supersonic

I don’t know much about mmw so I will have to read about it but thanks for the info
