I was in a battle and was shot and killed by the M50 guided missile my highest BR is 6.3. I thought the matchmaking did not let the higher br fight the lower br?
Its called an uptier. You face tanks that are higher than your BR.

Matchmaking range is -1.0 to +1.0 of your maximum BR.
So, if your highest BR is 6.3, then you can face enemies as high as 7.3 BR (uptier) or as low as 5.3 (downtier)
The rule applies to all the other players as well, so if someone is 7.3 then there cannot be players below 6.3 BR in the same match.
Since you met an M50 it must have been an uptier, which happens regularly. Don’t worry though, sometimes you are downtiered and then it’s your turn to field the strongest vehicles.
Whether or not the current BR system is fair is another discussion, all I’m saying is that it is working as intended.
