Why is the Stormer HVM so bad?

He could’ve. But then the British contingent on the forums would have no tea to spill

Do you have any idea where the IFF antenna would be located on the Stormer HVM? I once found a brochure about the TSA 1400, an IFF device, which had “Selected for UK HVM” written on it, along with photos of a Stormer, suggesting that the Stormer HVM uses this system, but I never found where the antenna would be on the vehicle. Not that it matters much, to be honest.

Spoiler

I have no idea if im honest. Ill look around

Also who let that guy cook?

16 my man?

Well all know what part of Northern Ireland he’s from

Pretty sure the IFF antennas are the big flat panels above the launchers

They weren’t there originally when Stormer HVM entered service. And they’re generally similar to the IFF antenna on the LML pedestal and Rapid Ranger, albeit bigger

Nice! Looks like this “low profile antenna” in the TSA 1400 brochure

Nice catch. I completly overlooked them.

Yeah the top one looks very much like what we see on Stormer HVM
The 30cm flat seems to be the class used on LML and Rapid Ranger and a Yagi type one is now on the MANPAD

Im going to do it this time.
@Gunjob could you please attach this to the report?

Chance we can get the orange training/safety filter removed from the targeting head some day?
Emitter’s supposed to look like this in combat conditions

That would have to be a report with proof it has to be removed. Considering it covers what seems to be the laser, it has some basis.
Can make a report for it tomorrow.
If only i could read whats here

I wonder if the Ozelot might have IFF as well. In the TSA 1400 brochure, there’s a photo of the Ozelot, just as there is of the Stormer HVM, etc. The Ozelot already has ADAD, and I think it would make sense for it to have the same IFF system as well. Looking for the IFF antenna might help too.

Thanks, that will be enough proof to get it removed.

Out of curiosity, where do you get all of this?
You always seem to have the best picture/source for any situation.

Ozelot might not have it, as it is designed to work in tandem with command vehicle, that has it on radar

Wait do you have more info on that radar? I’m 99% sure the ASRAD doesn’t get an IFF in game and it uses the same radar system

ASRAD has IFF.

As for data. Both use HARD radar, but if the back-to-back IFF antenna is the same, i have no idea.
