Why can Israel’s F-16A perform at a level of 12.7 when it doesn’t even have radar-guided missiles?Does it have the same performance as the early versions of the F/A-18?Is the Python-3 missile more powerful than radar-guided missiles? Can an infrared-guided missile without anti-jamming capabilities be more powerful than the AIM-7 Sparrow missile?
Am I competing with a group of aircraft equipped with active radar-guided missiles using only six Python 3 missiles?Does the plan assume that Israeli pilots are particularly skilled?
How can an F-16A without radar-guided missiles deal with aircraft like the Su-34,Su-27SM,J-10A,JF-17,and F-15C?How can I get close to them?Is it by relying on the F-16A’s maneuverability to evade their radar-guided missiles like the R-77,PL-12,and R-27ER?Why would an aircraft without beyond-visual-range(BVR)capability encounter BVR-capable aircraft? Is this balanced?
Gaijin is overrating the All-aspects IR missiles.
Especially for Python 3.
'As long as Python 3 is better than AIM-9L, Netz needs to go higher"
-Gaijin (not real quote)
If the Israeli F-16A fighter jet lacks the capability to carry radar-guided missiles,it will encounter numerous disadvantages in combat operations. In Beyond Visual Range(BVR)engagements, the F-16A will hardly be able to attack enemy aircraft, while its adversaries will be able to strike at long distances using radar-guided missiles. In close combat, the infrared missiles of the F-16A have a short range and lack advanced devices such as helmet-mounted sights, which makes it difficult to counter fighters like the Su-27SM and J-10A.Moreover,the F-16A is also significantly inferior to its opponents in multirole combat effectiveness,ground-attack capabilities, and electronic warfare. Thus,in this situation, the F-16A will find itself in an extremely unfavorable position, with serious limitations in combat effectiveness.
I also don’t understand why the planners believe that the performance of infrared missiles can match that of radar-guided missiles!
It’s definitely in a rough spot since the multipath nerfs.
The only way I was able to find success in it was just by turning my radar off, hugging the ground so low I was petting the snakes, and just trying to sneak attack from unexpected angles.
Python 3 is incredibly easy to flare so whoever you fire at it at has to have no clue it’s coming.
It was much better in the old SARH meta, but these days with ARH’s flying about it’s definitely fallen off. Personally I think it should go down to the same BR as the US F-16A, given Python 3 are just as easy to counter as 9L, but I’m sure US players wouldn’t be very happy about that.
