From the time I’ve played the iris-t, I’ve noticed quite the interesting problem - the missile HATES tracking incoming missiles, doesn’t matter if it’s a LMUR, AGM-65, kh-38MT or JAGM. I genuinly have no clue why this is, but the IRIS-T will, out of 10 missiles coming in at 8kms, hit like 1 or 2 if you’re lucky. This could be, because the IR seeker never actually tracks the missile, from what I’ve seen on sensor view, but it’s just a DL track, which on the iris-T due to it’s lack of a tracking radar is extremely inaccurate. I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on this. If someone has questions, I’d happily share clips of the missiles just flying past the incoming missiles.
