Why is the BMPT still at 10.7?

Hello everyone,

I was playing a match in my Leopard 2K, which uses the same gun and ammunition as the Leopard 2A4, and I fought against a BMPT. I fired six shots into its side, dead center — all of them resulted in non-penetrations. How is this even possible?

It feels like the vehicle has infinite protection due to its reactive armor, which apparently can stop 200 mm+ kinetic penetrators, while being what — 5 cm thick? That’s a joke. Even worse, after the reactive armor was already gone, my 408 mm penetration APFSDS round still does not penetrate and results in a non-penetration. On what exactly — air?

There is literally nothing behind that spot that should be able to stop the round. And please don’t tell me the fuel tank can stop 408 mm of penetration — even then, maybe 370 mm at best. This makes absolutely no sense.

The BMPT clearly needs a serious rework of its armor model and should be moved up significantly in battle rating. I would suggest BR 11.7–12.0, where it would sit between its T-72 and T-90 variants.

if you have trouble, i made a post explaining where to shoot the bmpt with loe2a4 . you can trust as both bmpt and leo2a4 user. unlike some who dont even have the thing and still say none sense

Ive only managed a few one shots on them and its always when ive shot them through the hull floor as ive attacked from below in a challenger.

Yeah, the HSTV-L can’t penetrate the BMPT’s side either. I fired about three shots, one shot took out a track, the second hit some battery, and the third simply disappeared into the spall armor.

its taking at least ten darts to consistently start getting through with an AJAX so its quite the pain
