Why is the 2S6 so bad?

The good old “just spawn SPAA” argument has evolved into “just spawn SPAA to shoot down ordnance” because even they realized AAs aren’t capable of killing CAS. So spawning a vehicle, spending all your ammo on shooting down enemy missiles and then J-ing out is a preferred and balanced play.

If he decided to become one, Eddie Murphy and Dave Chappelle would be working at McDonald’s.

It was one cause scenario but I would like to share:

Pantsir-S1 is not overpowered, it’s the best between all others but doesn’t mean the 100% killing machine, one Pantsir-S1 can’t deal with three or more planes at once and this is how dumb is close air support nowadays.

I was playing a match today while focusing entirely on air defense, I couldn’t handle a A-10C because it appeared in lower altitudes when in others moment I had to deal with ammunitions going into allies and other planes.

Not on you but everyone that share your thoughts: Pantsir-S1 is a example how anti-airs in War Thunder for all tech trees could’ve been earlier in War Thunder and only now we have a chance of most nations have a better anti-air capabilities, regardless of the nation, close air support will always be best in efficiency matter compared to anti-airs.

Ah Motorola. The guy who thinks KH-38MT is a weak top tier ATGM and the soviets need something stronger and that the Su-34 is weaker than the Tornado Gr4 because the Tornado Gr4 carries a greater number of ATGMs

The thing is though. The other way to read that is that to kill a Pantsir you need 3 or more aircraft attacking it at once.

Most top tier SPAA can barely do anything to single CAS.

But this is the main issue. Quite frankly. Pantsir should have been added in this major update. With the SPAA being added now (and even then, not everyone is getting anything) not 2? 3? years ago, and it was even stronger when it was new than what it is now.

Trying to use something like a Tornado Gr1 was just impossible.

If the Pantsir-S1 were added in this next Major update the issue of ‘overpowered’ anti-air would still exist since France detain the second best anti-air platform and in my opinion the best airplane platform currently, with or without Pantsir-S1, the situation would still the same, that’s why I think that saying one anti-air is overpowered is not correct as there will be always one that could be better.

The Tornado GR.1 is a bomber, there are few bombers that can be used effectively in ground battles where you don’t need to directly move above enemys’ anti-air to engage a target, and if you need to, the best tactic is going very, very low doing fast drops with laser designation as position reference.

Yeah, that is fair. but still crazy how long its taken to get wrothy top tier SPAA for some nations.

Yeah, but when it was all you had… you didnt have much choice in the matter. But anyway, half the problem there is top tier is stupidly compressed.

I was expecting planned high tier decompression when naval got one, which sincerly didn’t changed nothing but moved airplanes capable to counter the new Battleships with more ease to a battle rating they can’t face said vessels.

Eh… I was actually expecting a lower tier decompression when naval got one actually. I thought naval was stuck until the entirity of the air tree got decompressed (and in turn the ground tree)

and yeah, a few made real sense to move up. Liek we really didnt want F-117s in naval, but stuff like the Buc S1 was a real shame.

Feel free to show me a post where I claimed 38MT is weak.

Same as above.
Both me and Gaijin think the former is better, which is pretty evident by the fact it sits not one, but two BR steps higher than latter.

Seems like you got some wires crossed.
