Again, southern Korea offers more to the Japanese tech tree. K1 is a uniquely built M1 Abrams, and yes, there will be the usual M48 and M60, but the difference is that southern Korea has more than just that. Just look up “military equipment of Thailand” and their tanks are just the Oblot from Ukraine, M60, and M48. Look up military equipment of South Korea, and you get K1, K2, K2000, K21, and more.
And why should Korea into be game when Korea should not be with Japan, and Thailand could give the least what Japan needed?
I once wrote in this forum that Weraboos underestimate what things will happen if Korean equipment is on Japan tree. It will not only end with forum’s fight.

And why exactly do all these post-WW2 and modern day indigenous designed Korean vehicles have any reason to be in the Japanese tech tree after a forced co-op that happened 115 years ago?

Even on the ground point, there’s nothing Korea only gives that Thailand gives. Actually, Oplot-T is more War thunder fitted tank than K-1 or K-2 does. And Stringray light tank is in service, while ROKAF does not service any tracked big gun light tank.
CAS is important part of ground realistic right now. Maybe too important than it has to be.
Also, I don’t mind a forum fight, Gaijin already does stupid things, I am surprised they didn’t do Korea in Japan.

You cherry-picked gripen for argument but completely ignored Alpha Jet and other alpha-jet upgraded with AIM-9P4
So a M48, M60, an obscure vehicle that will end up as an event vehicle one day, and some Ukrainian thing that will also be an event one day. That beats out a proper MBT in the K1 and K2, plus the evolutions of the K1 as well.
