Why is Thailand in the game?

???

Not only that but because Thailand at 1930s to 1950s shows extensive use of Japanese-made weaponary, which are mostly not showed ingame(and maybe will not except naval)

AFAIK, the only connection between modern Korean and japanese armies are [buying pretty much of the armament from Americans]
F-15, F-35 and some other extra ‘western standards’ as examples.

And there is nearly zero connection between their domestic things.
right?

it was colonised by Japan and the Koreans participated in WW2 under Japan.

Unwillingly and coerced, unlike Thailand (which did officially ally itself with Japan during WW2).

Army uses some rifles and infantry weapons that Japanese Army left but was due to shortage and quickly replaced by US weaponaries, and also is not related to war thunder.
Navy uses some unfinished boat’s hull that Japanese Navy left but armed with American weapons and used to fight against Japanese coast guard who tries to intrude Korean seas.

Yeah, and Thailand offers nothing to Japan. At least Korea would make Japan have more than generic American equipment. Plus, Japan doesn’t even recognise their actions in WWII, so it won’t affect Tojo too much.

Thailands can offer Stingray tanks, Gripen CAS(which already offers) and good coastal boats.

hmmm

Not to mention the T-84 Oplot MBT.

Grippen and CAS don’t belong together, mate.

Well, at least much better CAS than what JASDF aircrafts could give

This is Japan we are talking about, the country that uses 20kg bombs as CAS. Or was it 60kg? One of the two. If you’re using Japan and expecting CAS… oh boy, you should pick a different country.

where bombers mostly have 1 800kg bomb (it was pain full to grind that shit)

Then, what would you expect of Korea gives to Japan, while Thailand can’t? With Gripen and F-16 of Thailand, its not much different of Korea could give. ROKAF doesn’t have Hammer of Kh-38

adding thailand was an excuse to not add the real F-16J

Because Korea uses tanks that are actually indigenously designed, and not just M48 and M60 tanks. Southern Korea makes their own equipment for the most part, and would give Japan more of a top tier than a Type 90 and TKX. Northern Korea offers Japan armour, something the Japanese does not have.

Just the K2

The K1 was derived from the XM-1

Still better than a M48 and M60.

Well, and useful to Japanese tech tree?
Don’t think so as they quite overlapped with Type 10.

Also Thai uses Stingray, which is not M48 or M60, and good firepower 105 mm tracked-light tank that Japan doesn’t have.

So you just want to jump from numerous M48 that Korea has and only jumps to K1 and k2?
Never will be happened, you will met even more bunch of M48 than what Thailands has.
