Why is multipathing still in the game?

Jets from the 2000s launching missiles and not hitting a single target cause everyone is cruising at 60 meters is such a garbage mechanic

Literally removes all skill and positioning from the game

Play dumb, use get out of jail card which is fly low, make all radar missiles useless except when fired from directly above

sadly multipath will stay because wallet warrior need something to stay alive more than 3min per match, as i like to say, turning 90°-100° and pressing “chaff” a few times is really hard

The Roman Empire was that far ahead?

2000s

Because Gameplay for lower tier jets that dont have Fox 3s but can fight Fox 3 slingers would be utterly atrocious. And top tier gameplay would be even more stale than it is already.

Why? Everyone is facing similar jets. It’s copium

well its not like you can just fly on 60 meters and nothing will hit you…thats false statment.

Because realism > harming playability.
Also multipathing is not a guaranteed defeating of a missile.
S maneuvering is required for most missiles, especially larger ones.
It’s not as usable over land as it is water.

You also know what’s easier to do than multipathing? Turning around above mach 1.4.

so basically Russia yes?

No one ever said nothing will hit you. Radar missiles won’t hit you unless fired directly from above.

So? The gameplay would still be horrible. Imagine youre playing a 12.7 Hornet or any Jet at a similar BR without Fox 3s and youre fighting premium SU30s, F14Ds etc but multipathing doesnt exist. Does that sound like fun?

That’s a balance problem, and multipathing is not the fix. Go argue about BRs then, not multipathing

It’s still in the game because the stock grind exists, and because players frankly aren’t that good and over rely on it. It’s current implementation harms planes with limited SARH loadouts, as well as poor airframes with good missiles too. BR compression is also a major issue.

I think that we should get stock chaff starting at rank 7, and that the height should be reduced to 40m, rather than 60. Ideally we should get accurate and realistic minimum altitudes for every missile, but that can be done later.

then just get better… I dont see anything wrong with multipathing tbh

So youd need more than 1.0 BR between the lowest Fox 3 capable plane and the rest. And then what do you do at BRs like 13.0 where there are planes with Fox 3s (F4F KWS, F14D, Tornado F3) plenty of Fox 1 planes and even planes with only Fox 2s?
Seems kinda hard to balance, doesnt it?

This should be gameplay > realism.

When talking about realism, multipath wouldnt be in effect for pretty much every fox 3 and some fox 1s

I remeber when Fakour first came out, I would litterally climb with F-14 spam Fakour and land and do same, thats no fun at all

You’re saying get better to the person asking to remove the crutch? You’re using a crutch to help your skill issue

And when one day they finally remove this garbage mechanic, you’ll be crying how hard the game is

You get better, kiddo

How are you suppose to grind when you don’t got chaff?
