If ASEAN really does go to China, i really wonder whether gaijin realize just how big of a international shitfest they’re about to receive. They couldn’t even handle a swarm of negative online reviews and now they’re tryna get the entirety of SEA to go after them? I’m not really surprsed anymore since this is something only the geniuses at snail HQ can come up with…
Also, i don’t play China or know much about their gear but don’t they have a quite alot of potential vehicles to juice their tree up with? Like hell, if they really wanted to add subtrees why not NK or Pakistan?
Japan with ASEAN makes more sense, would be cool if they went with the modern SEATO route with ASEAN + Japan + South Korea.

ASEAN being added to Japan will get some backlash but it will be nothing compared to what happens if China gets em instead. I don’t think i need to tell anyone of you here the current political storm that’s been brewing between ASEAN and China right?
Also just wanted to add an observation of mine about this potentially absurd decision from gaijin, seems like even chinese players aren’t happy with this. China has some pretty neat domestic vehicles that players been waiting for who knows how long but instead they’ll be getting copypastes like everyone else, and a goddamn Singaporean Leo2 as a squadron vehicle is…honestly just something.
I’m hoping this leak list is just some prank but knowing gaijin, yeah…
Maybe it’s like India entering the British tree.
Not to mention China has many other options for subtrees. Outside of ASEAN Pakistan, Bangladesh and North Korea come to mind, inside ASEAN nations lile Laos or Myanmar would be reasonable.
But Singapore and Indonesia for China are just wrong

Gaijin didn’t have the gut to giving South Korea to Japan, Arab countries to Israel, Ukraine to Russia and Poland to Germany but dare to give ASEAN to a country with having a ongoing conflict with them right now had show Gaijin really didn’t need a logical reason to add a sub tree to any nations as long as those nations didn’t have large players base or will giving a losses to their company.

Gaijin never had logic when it comes to adding vehicles to some factions. I don’t think that they really care about the playerbase

Lmao if f-22 really came to the game and didn’t do anything other than stomp everything around it, it would be BS… and the exact reason it should not be added.
What? I’m Malaysia Chinese and I don’t agree this. We are chinese but not China citizen, so this cannot be the reason to give Singapore or Malaysia to China. Furthermore we still having territorial conflict with them, in other word our relations is not that great.

From game perspective, ASEAN subtree is more suitable for Japan. China don’t need a subtree currently, they have enough of vehicle to add in game. Japan really need a subtree to fill the AA gap and CAS gap which China didn’t has this kind of problems.
