Honestly, I hope neither is correct, North and South Korea need to be their tree not subtree’s.
I know this is off topic, but potentially seeing both North and South Korea be implemented as 2 different subtrees would be insanely dissapointing.
North and South Korea have more than enough domestic designs to form a unified Korean tech tree, to see such potential go to waste would be heartbreaking.
Research team: Doesn’t exist.
I hope it’s fake because apart from the cluster bombs everything sucks
yep I would add complete with documents directly from Leonardo…
like china and taiwan they fight but they still put them together without any problems
Very different, both Koreas still want Korea to be unified, the governments, however…yeah…
CCP and Taiwan are a completely different case, the CCP considers Taiwan part of China while Taiwan aka the ROC has stated numerously that they are not nor consider themselves Chinese. But that’s more due to the Warlord Era aka Chinese Civil War, to put it simply.
CCP won, and ROC lost. Won’t go into the details, so I’m keeping it as simple as possible.
So it’s true, WT is dying.
I think Chinse subtrees are fair, I believe some ASEAN nations such as Myanmar or Laos would be very fitting alongside options like Pakistan or Bangladesh, but all of ASEAN and especially Indonesia and Singapore are a very bad decision.
There is no reason behind these specific nations being added to China based on their equipment or military cooperation, while they also feel very out of place as mostly NATO aligned countries in one of our two REDFOR trees. This makes the decision (intentionally or not) seem very political, which goes directly against Gaijin’s intention to stay apolitical.
It would be best to give China different, more fitting subtrees, while NATO aligned ASEAN nations either go to Japan as Gaijin seems to have originally intended, or an independent ASEAN tree if Japan is seen as controversial by the people from these nations.
I don’t even know what the point of this was
but also on a conceptual level
Bangladesh, Myanmar, Laos and Pakistan all have at least one type of Chinese vehicle in service, so all are fairly good additions. ASEAN are a bit…Weird, and some of them aren’t really in good terms (especially Vietnam and Indonesia)
It’s a weird choice…
It seems even Chinese players would’ve preferred different nations for China, so I wonder who even wanted this.
It isn’t to keep ASEAN together, since Thailand is still likely going to Japan. Even of not, an ASEAN tree could’ve been made instead of adding this many nations to a tree that can easily get many others.
It just doesn’t seem logical at all…
Chinese community doesn’t want this at all, they want more domestic vehicles and want Gaijin to fix issues with current ones, like 99A, VT-4A1, etc. It’s probably Gaijin thinking they can make quick money off Chinese players and going completely the wrong away about doing it.
So in short:
- Japan loses subtree options they need to fill roles and holes that cannot be filled theough domestic equipment
- China gets cheap band aids to fix problems that could’ve been solved by fixing or adding their domestic stuff, and fill holes that more reasonable subtree nations could’ve filled too
- All of ASEAN get thrown into China because somehow even close enough ties to NATO to buy F-35 gets outweighed by political argument Gaijin usually wants to avoid
How in their right mind do they think this is the controversy they can get away with? There is nobody to defend them…
if they do the "quick money way "then the cn community gonna be pissed as gaijin still has to add a fully domestic chinese aa for top tier and other stuff and more cn stuff
It’s literally lose-lose situation to piss everyone off
the only stupid funny thing would be oh you want everytype of vehicle in one nation? Play china!
The truly funny thing is when Chinese players have to play Leopards instead of 99A to have good experience at top tier. In the Chinese tree.
But make sure not to play Chinese tanks, because I doubt Gaijin will fix their issues when they can just argue “but you have Leopard 2!”
Nobody wins here…
