He’s demonstrating that US fuel tanks also absorb spall.
I have another set of videos on hand which also show this.
Disproving your statement that only Russian fuel tanks eat spall

Same goes for T-XX tanks. Why shoot fuel tanks if center is more consistent? You complain about T-XX but when the same thing is displayed for Abrams, you say this?
looks inside, a bad shot with a mid to bad round only kills half the crew and almost breaks turret drive
really just shows russian players expect one shots from clicking center mass even with bad ammo
460mm of pen against a 400mm plate high on the LFP, should’ve done a bit more than that.
only 60mm pen difference means not much spalling
if it was shot lower on LFP you get driver and turret drive, if it was higher you get more crew
it was a blatantly bad shot, and expecting it to kill is pretty absurd
60mm of residual pen produces quite a bit of spalling though?
Thats almost as high as you can get on the LFP without colliding with the UFP, with 2 spall particles directly impacting the loader, but he lives? Multiple times that amount hit the turret drive as well, but didnt destroy it.
If this is a bad shot then idk what copium you are on.
heres a larger pen difference on a T72
let me see, maybe if you have a bad round for the BR you shouldnt be able to click center mass on everything for a kill?
because that is what that shot was
if it was at all aimed it would be either lower to kill turret drive or more likely into the turret neck which is still easy to hit even when the tank is covered in bushes
heres another example with over 80mm residual pen
by your logic both of these should also kill because I guess center of mass is a good shot now
Do it on a plate without ERA, the protection values for these are often inaccurate.
3BM42 is one of the best rounds for 10.7, and its shooting against a 10.7 hull?
That shot shouldve killed turret drive. Look at the sheer amount of spall hitting it. Turret neck is rather unreliable when tank is covered in bushes, esp for the average player, as it is a relatively small weakspot surrounded by autobounce death.
did with a second example there
not really, and you can still see the gun which make an easy reference
Since you edited in the other example: “Do it on a plate without ERA, the protection values for these are often inaccurate.”
I don’t think the prot on that T-90 is actually 547mm, i’ve had rounds with less pen than the “protection value” pen it in the analysis. It seems mainly inaccurate for ERA, game probably shts itself.
As for
Idk what you are getting at here. If you have enough pen and residual pen to do a considerable amount of damage on a plate, then go for it? If you recreate that shot I wouldnt be surprised if it randomly blacks out the turret drive or outright kills because game is inconsistent.
yes I understand that
but if you take a shot like that, and it “only” kills half the crew you cant really be mad
yes I wouldnt be either
but its close enough that it doesnt make sense complaining that it didnt
I was still able to reload, shoot, kill him, and drive on without even needing to repair, so id call that grounds for being mad.
Like:

Look at the sheer amount of spall particles that hit horizontal, thats well over 10, but its red…
Which should be the case. Liquids should absorb and slow spall pretty damn well, especially denser ones like gasoline, kerosene, and diesel.
You found the one in a billion situation where the horzontal drive doesn’t get disabled.
I can go play high tier right now and give you probabaly 10 examples in 3 hours where I shoot center mass LFP with DM53 equivalent rounds on T-xx and not even get a oneshot via crew.
Go ahead.
