Why is China getting an AH-64E with agm-179s well I didn’t go digging deep into information about it, but Taiwan did buy the AH-64E but there is no information of them buying the AGM 179s the only countries that already own it or are approved of buying them is
United Kingdom
The US approved the sale of up to 3,000 AGM-179A missiles for the UK’s AH-64E Apache helicopters.
Netherlands
The Netherlands requested 296 AGM-179A JAGM missiles to modernize its AH-64E Apache fleet.
The sale was approved in June 2025 to enhance homeland defense and interoperability with the US and other allies.
Poland
Poland is acquiring the JAGM as part of its AH-64E Apache helicopter procurement.
South Korea
The State Department approved the sale of JAGM to South Korea, which is also acquiring AH-64E Apache helicopters.
now Japan it’s different I can’t really find solid information that they are buying it maybe they thinking of it but this is the information I could just find by looking up if they are buying it
Based on recent defense contracts and military news, Japan is
not currently planning to buy the AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM). However, the country has been actively acquiring other long-range strike missiles, most notably the Tomahawk and the AGM-158 JASSM-ER. The AGM-179 is used primarily on helicopters like the AH-64 Apache, a platform Japan already operates.
Now there’s a lot more information about this missile and who actually is getting it. I’m not trying to make my head explode with this two big brain activity, but China should not be getting the AGM 179 on it’s sub tree Taiwan AH-64E
If the Z-10ME didn’t get the BA-11 then sure, it would make sense for the Taiwanese AH-64E to get proper HEAT warhead fire and forget missiles but now that the Z-10ME got it, what’s the point?
China would benefit more from a hellfire slinger apache than one with AGM-179s (since there’s no heli that can equip the same amount of laser guided missiles as the AH-64 in the tree, eg. Z-10, Z-19, Z-9 all can only carry up to 8 AKD-9/10 which are also significantly slower than the hellfire)
Well you know technically America has captured so many Russian vehicles so can we just merge the two? OFC on a technicality, i mean America has the hind, t72, t80, bmp 1 2 and 3, some t64s and ofc, i cant leave out the T80UD america bought in the late 90s. LMAO
The saddest part about this is China just got a 13.0 upgrade for their heli THIS UPADTE so why are we wasting any dev time adding 1 to China of all nations while the UK is just sitting there. This AH-64E in China shouldn’t even have agm179, but if this were another nation i assure you it wouldn’t have them due to “lack of proof”
None of these a64e are captured vehicles…
Also non of those russian vehicles that you mention are or was in service on the usa, which is one of the requisites for captured vehicles in general, like on the tirans, or the captured t34 or kv2 from the ww2 on germany
well, technically the Golden Eagle was a first stage for the Eagle 2040C, so TECHNICALLY, we can get the F-15C with 16 AMRAAMs, and technically, it used the AIM-9X too. No JAGM for China, until we see proof that Thailand really used them, and even then, China needs to learn to share vehicles :))))))
