Which wouldn’t have the result you think it would.
It would mean I dont fight F-14’s in my FGR.2, thats the result I think
FGR2 would still fight F-14s.
There’s no decompression you can do to prevent that.
F-14A is a Phantom that can dogfight better.
F-14B is an F-14A that can dogfight better + has 9Ls to deal with the higher BR from dogfighting better.
F-14A will always be 0.3 above an FGR2 that has the same IR missiles.
I play naval, I’m already accustomed to 10 minutes queues, decompression is needed in every game mode, I don’t mind waiting 2 minutes longer for a game
Correction it is a phantom but better in every way
Similar weapons, heavier, worse TWR, wing sweep is what saves it from dogfighting worse than the FGR2 and that’s what allows the F-14A to be 0.3 BR higher than the FGR2.
Even has a similarly effective radar.
Ok so it has a better radar, better missiles, its faster and dogfights better
That’s not on the F-14A, and that’s inferior to the Skyflash. AIM-54s are quite literally just dodge…
@John_Sneeeeeeeew
AIM-9Gs aren’t better than AIM-9Gs.
And in close range the difference between Skyflash and AIM-7F from a front-aspect only radar is smaller than you think.
Same speed BTW.
Yeah how about 10km away
Every single missile is just dodge
The skyflash is terrible, especially with PDV, and yes aim-9g is aim-9g, congrats on that one
At this point just give the FGR.2 the Aim-9L and leave the FG.1 as is, see how it performs at the same BR. They are the same aircraft anyways, so it will be a good test.
Why not a dynamic BR based on weapons similar to the dynamic spawn point in GRB for air. More advanced weapons raises the BR.
Stock missiles might be 10.0 and Limas push the BR to 11.7 or 12.0 tada!
No. Removing selection of loadouts from matches is a terrible idea.
I wouldn’t mind the FGR.2 and F-4EJ Kai having the same BR because of AIM-9Ls, just as the F-2 Sabre and CL-13A have the same BR, although they are better in some different ways.
However, I doubt the community actually wants that…
BTW, FG.1 and FGR.2 is one of broken overpowered plane in sim.
This is the real kicker for me. They use the argument that they don’t want to give the FGR2 9Ls because then it will go up in BR. But even if that does happen, the EXACT SAME aircraft will still be available in the FG1, at its original BR, with 9Gs. It creates no hole! Their argument, like usual, is BS.
Not only just the British F.G.R. and F-4J Phantoms, I genuinely think almost all Phantoms at this point and stage in the game should get their AIM-9Ls at their current BRs (ex: German F-4F Late, U.S. F-4E + F-4S, Japanese F-4EJ + ADTW).
Since the uptiers for some of them still facing the F-15, F-16 and MiG-29. All of which are not only blatantly superior platforms overall, but also equipped with more powerful radar, informative RWR and better overall missiles than you all at the same time is absolutely brutal.
Other miscellaneous unmentioned aircraft like the Swedish JA-37C Viggen and U.S. A-7E are also way long overdue for their historical AIM-9Ls to be added as well.
JA-37C wouldnt recieve 9Ls as the JA-37D has 9Ls at just .3 of a higher BR
Oh, and further context, I finished spading my FG1 when the F-16s were in full force.
I attempted to do poorly with it in order to negatively impact its stats, and playing recklessly, intentionally badly I kept doing above 1.2:1 KDR.
It’s a strong plane, and one I am still annoyed held my hand against F-16s when I was hoping it wouldn’t.
That is the experience I have in the FG1 causing this opinion of mine.
Maybe you’ll disagree with my opinion, but you’ll know the reason behind it.
@Sir_Rebral_Palsy
JA-37C is better at 11.0 than 11.3/11.7, and A-7E is better at 10.7 than 11.0.
Hello
Aircraft missile loadouts are a balancing factor much like tank shell loadouts are. Whilst everything they could / did carry is open for consideration, it does not mean every aircraft will get every missile it ever did / could have.
