In realistic, autocannons were more spreaded, but big caliber cannons with HE-VT or HE-TF got its range and accuracy buffed. So actually it is harder to bomber to get near.
Agree, I m RB player, but someone says gaijin will nerf AA bot in next updates.
So, drop bomb in high latitude is the only way to bomb BB in top tiers now, and they even banned using modern guided weapon. That’s no reason to do like this, why don’t they just cancel all plane in Naval RB!
By the way, in next update’s promotional film, seems like they want to add bomber formation.
The guided missile from ki 48 already have no counters other than CAP (which is another topic because CAp fighters have to get very close to shoot down the bomber, very vulnerable to AI gunners)
A ship with AI gunners basically has 2-4km effective range. (of course if the target is a B17 bomber flying in a straight line and you have VT shells you can swat them from 8km)
Most battleships in fact have worse AA than early destroyers. For examples the 4.7 Akizuki was designed as a AA destroyer.
But I mainly talk 8.7’s F117 and A-4E, they r facing ww2 top tier battleships, all equip HE-VT or HE time fuse, and more AA machine cannon. All them will make keep flying straight and using traditional guided bomb very impossible.
So, that’s why I think it is time to using 8.7 guided bomb in naval and will make game more balance.
The F117 differs in others that there’s laser designation guidance instead of WASD guidance.
Also because dogfights are dead in naval mode, the F117 will be the crazy good
Just one problem, the f117 wont be allowed in naval come the update
But gaijin make American BB like a powder barrel, I think u know Tennessee and Colorado have painful survival ability. In forum, everyone wants Gaijin change it, but years and years, gaijin do nothing on it. So, maybe let F117 can be using in naval top tier is another way to balance American BB’s poor survival ability.
Dude, that is why I m here to asking Gaijin keep their original BR and let us using it in naval :)
How about no
Okay, that’s your opinion.
I mean Japan, Germany and UK all can get more ships as they laid down the hulls so at least they can help contest the Soyuz.
Not sure if France, Italy or USA can get any other classes unless the rules are changed on what passes.
As funny as having laser guided bombs against mostly ww2 battleships would be, it would be insufferable on the receiving end.
Actually Roma class basically is a smaller Soyuz, but gaijin made it so difficult to play and having unacceptable reloading time.
At the same time, gaijin already add FP494, Douglas and PR.56K in game, using AA missile or anti ship missile. Oh, German and French also have missile boat.
guided bombs facing ww2 ships is wrong
So, guided missile and AK230 AA Bot facing ww2 plane is fine in naval right?
not a fan of 60s radar AA on coastal ships seeing something as early as a beaufighter no, however I do think coastal should be segregated from bluewater fleets in battle
But in Soviet tech-tree, there indeed a missile destroyer in it. For the radar, AA bots not depends on radar and it can easily shoot down a jet plane in RB mode.
AI controlled AI is getting nerfed next update to give planes a chance to have any use at all in game.
and the soviet tree having tech others are decades behind in is not a surprise
Everyone in here says Bot’s AA is getting nerfed in next update, but is here someone test on it or official announcement on it? That s a real problem.
And I mean, not in AB, we need know about RB.
no clue for arcade, myself and everyone i know that plays naval are RB players. Gaijin specifically told us in a devblog that they are reducing AI targeting accuracy so CAS can start to break the stalemates
I see 2 major issues with guided bombs

Not everyone has an appropraite guided bomb carrier for the BR range. Britain for example, wouldnt have one till 10.3. It could be lowered, but would be waaaay… too strong. So its probably best that these not be added to naval until all can have them with the exception being things like the Fritz-X that can be countered reasoanbly easily.

Do we really want orbital GBUs that cannot be defended against even by turning hard?
Im personally more annoyed by the Buc S1 being moved up. It did not have any guided weapons and unlike the Buc S2. Isnt all that fast nor is its bomb load actually all that unreasonable.
