For LWS it’s usually good to first just look at the vehicle visually, those sensors are usually quite obvious.

The vehicles that has a LWS IRL gets them in game, it doesn’t have to do with light or MBT etc.
The thing you pointed at. It gathers data such as wind speed, temperature, humidity, and inputs it into fire control system.

if the MBT has laser warning systems in real life they get them in game.
Gaijin tries to model as much as possible after real life functionality which is why the requirements for the sources exist. (there are exceptions, especially in top tier where accurate information is either impossible to find because its classified or extremely hard to find with different sources saying different things)
i also noticed in every country there seems to be at least 1 mbt with lws
where is the lws on the leclerc AZUR and cv90105?
