Why doesn't Britain get incendiaries?

so irl the lancaster atleast could take tons of incendiaries, ingame no british vehicle has them, why?

No clue but if you have the documents, you should send them in a bug report.

Maybe because gaijin has not (yet) implemented area bombing of population centers as mission objective.

there is one british plane that has napalm being the premium gr1 harrier

america has napalm.

and Strikemaster.

But yes, Both the Sea-Vixen and Buc S2 have bug reports in for missing napalm. (year+ report for those)

Buc S1, Jaguar Gr1s, Phantom FGR2 all probably could get Napalm

and then of course the Lancasters and other WW2 heavy bombers with the incindiary bombs as well.

what would count towards documents tho? and would that work? gaijin seems to just not care about british vehicle bug reports unless it makes the vehicle worse

basically all british WW2 bombers could take an SBC (what was used to drop incenderies) and it was even the standard bomb load of most british bombers, the lancaster specifically took it with what was basically just a barrel filled with 4,000Lb of explosives (the idea was the 4,000lb would explode destroying roofs and houses to help the ince… oh wow… that… mm…

just reliased this is basically how they caused fire storms…

Yeah, the only thing with the Incidinaries with the Lancaster, is that Gaijin might class them as a form of Cluster munition, which we dont have modeled in game yet.

But I think someone was working on a report but that was the last I heard of it

RAF manuals, factory documents, books if you have two or more since they are a secondary source afaik

that is a very goodpoint, it just seems that unless your america or soviet goodluck getting the loadout accurate to how it was irl, did the Harrier GR1 even get sraams?

yes and no.

SRAAMs never actually made it into service, but the T8 Harrier (I think it was) at RAF Boscombe Down (I think) did test fire an SRAAM. Which is why it got it in game. I could be wrong, but I dont think the Gr1 ever had an AAM and the Gr3 only got AIm-9Gs during the Falklands.

Im not sure what the story is behind the F6 getting SRAAMs, but probably the same,

Yeah… Tornado Gr1 missing Martels, FGR2 missing Bullpups, Gr7 has a number of loadout issues. Etc etc. And then you also have the lack of ePaveway for GPS guided bombs for the Gr7 and Napalm for the aforementioned aircraft

ill never understand why they didnt add the GR7A, atleast it would then have a much closer flight performance to the american harrier 2, but alas, what happens to those bug reports tho? do they get shelved/ignored or…?

No… But Gunjob often has to poke Gaijin very hard with a sharpened poking stick for many reports to get fixed

But I do feel our reports are often a lower priority

Gunjob?

Tech mod, does a LOT of the reporting and poking for British stuff, Active in most of the British main threads

ah fair enough, atleast one day, in the semi near future, britian will become the best tech tree at top tier air and will stay like that until gaijin adds stealth

oh who am i kidding, gaijin would add the F35 before they add the Eurofighter or ASRAAM

That was not my point.

Do some research about British incendiaries used in WW 2. We talk about masses of very small bombs. You see the dispersion of those bomb clusters after the drop, the higher you fly and the lower the weight, the more your bombs will have a chance to miss a rather small target. That’s why you can’t achieve any accuracy from higher alt for purposes like base bombing.

That’s why these very small bombs might be useful for WW 2 BRs if gaijin would implement area targets, and that’s why i wrote this:

it be fun tho

Are bases not large enough for these kinds of munitions? They’re also buffed against bases right? They would be pretty effective although that’s if you reach the base before your flying trash can is blown out of the sky…
