It can’t. 7.7’s cannot do anything to it frontally, plus they lack stabilizers so its not like you can just shoot their barrel first. Its better to have one vehicle suffer than an entire BR bracket suffer more than it already does.

U have almost 2-1 kd ratio
Merkava has better hull armor and can reload faster.
It also gets LRF/LWS, thermals, better reverse speed, gun handling, gun depression and smoke grenades with roof MG.
It’s still a reskin of the APDS round.
And what’s OP about 2.0 K/D ?
Most 7.7s can pen it frontally wdym lol, a T-62 would still have to compete with other 8.3s while worrying about getting slammed by HEAT-FS by lower BR vehicles

The T-62 doesn’t do anything better than the current 8.3s. It would be absolutely fine.

I have 4.9 K/D and 4.1 K/D in Gal Batash and Merkava respectively.
Are they crazy busted as well ?

Ik merkava is very strong at downtiers cuz the engine eats everything
Gal batash is also great
Only reason both dont go up cuz the mobilty and armor is hella bad against apfsds from 9.3 and above
In general israel 9.3 is very good

Yeah the T-62 isn’t bad at 8.7, its just slightly worse than other Soviet 8.7’s.

T-62 is one of the worse 8.7s.
Look where the T32 can penetrate the T-62, now look when the roles are reversed. Keep in mind there is no limit to how many 8.3’s you can face in a 7.7. 7.3 Vehicles DO NOT need to face more 8.3’s.
Also, the T-62 is stabilized. Stuff like the T95E1 would be the same BR.
It isn’t worthy of going down to 8.3. That BR area is compressed enough.
