Im for export and lend lease vehicles appearing in other trees but they have to be actually exported vehicles.
it absolutley is. i prefer the LF mkIXc over the normal one as it has 4x.303 machine guns instead of 2x.50 cals with the trash belts (doesnt get the API-T only belt which does more damage than hitsparko 20mm shells). Coincidentally, that’s the one that appears in the USA + USSR tree and as the plagis premium so in annoyingly paywalled
The Spitfire MkXIVc is a close second for 5.7 props for me as it turns almost as hard but has the altitude performance of a griffon engine over the merlin optimised for low flying. absolute monster for chasing down spaceclimbers or jets in uptiers, my preferred one is once again the premium for the 4 browning .303 guns over the .50 cals but once again this is a personal thing
Thats an interesting one. I asked because i was interested why US airforce was based in Britain. From what i read it looked like the P-51s in Suffolk were British (as premium Mustang is).
so thats what i did. I showed that them premiums from other countries - LF Spitfires - dont have all the camos from british ones, nor have camos from one another. Should they? I believe not.
It all comes to if the camos you are about were american ones or british ones.
sounds like hugest downgrade there can be. British 7,62 are most regretfull macineguns there can be. Well maybe the french MAC is worse but planes stop using it at 1.7, and the Spitfires have them up until 5.7
Id in every situation woud rather have 2 .50 brownings instead of 4 .303 brownings
britain only gets the early american belts on those .50 cals so they are inconsistent.
incendiary tracer on the .50 cal is blatantly overperforming against all other aircraft ordinance but you only get one every few rounds. The 7.62 incendiary tracer belt on spits has a faster ROF and its all going to do damage if only a little bit, you get more rounds downrange so i find it to be better. less gaps in your bullet stream as well.
If we got the later all API/API-T belts it would be a different scenario for how honestly OP that belt is
my apologys i misunderstood what you where saying american air units where stationed wherever they could fit them for example B29s where stationed on okinawa specificlly ground units as unlike carrier planes they cant be launched from carriers and require runways
well this is kinda backwards the skins should NOT be on a british P51 as they where AMERICAN PLANES why are they in another country
why would for example the LF for america have skins from the british LF as there different planes
there are british skins on the british P51 but they shouldnt be there as they where never painted thos colors IRL most of these skins also come from P51Bs which arent ingame hence why the A model has them
notice the lack of hispanos
heres a P51C skin that should be on the C10 not a A model P51
heres a P51A it uses a earlier engine and different hood
so in my opinon the JOAN skin should be moved the P51A in america and the princess elizabeth 1 and 2 be given to the P51C10 which has rather bland skins
the only skins the C10 has are just bland with just letters on the side
P-51B and C are identical, just made in different factory. JOAN should also go to P-51C unless they copy paste a P-51B in the future (which is unlikely).
That just depends on the production block.
Both had the extra fuel tank from P-51B-7-NA and P-51C-3-NT onward. The first P-51C version, the P-51C-1-NTs didn’t have it. It’s just that there were more Bs built before the extra tank was added than there were Cs.
The first P-51B exited the assembly line and flew in May of 1943. The P-51C model flew 3 months later. In search of even more range, an 85 gallon fuselage tank was installed behind the pilot’s seat. This began with the P-51B-7NA (taken from -5 line) and the P-51C-3NT versions (taken from the -1 line).
yes, but them AP break wing spars and engines pretty well AND they have API shots mixed in. Its worse than having an entire M20 belt but still better than using Tracers on 7.62
well last time i ended up without cannons with 7.62 tracers i ended up shooting all across the enemy plane that then flew away. With damage of course, but the bullets ran out before the damage became lethal…
agree, the skins of US aifrorce should at least be copied to teh US early mustangs.
