Why does the Namer 30 not have the same armour as the Merkava?

why does the Namer have such poor armor compared to the Merkava. it should at least have the same if not more.?

Hello, the answer to this question is as simple as possible.
There is little data on the armor of this armored personnel carrier, as well as the tank as a whole, so we have what we have.

so why not use the same values that the Merkava has as the Namer, the public information state that should be at least the same.

We need at least some kind of official documentation on the armor of this vehicle. According to the ERA “Relikt” type from “NII Steel”
And so I myself don’t mind having at least the tower protection of the Merkava, as it was at the time of the first dev server.

The answer is :Gaijin did it on purpose, just like the 2 year old Merkava 4 armor bug report, Gaijin will not know about and will not fix armor bugs in Israeli tanks.
namer is based on the chassis of Merkava 4 and weighs 61 tons. Let me see how many tons is Merkava 4? 65 tons, and then look back at namer’s current ridiculous protection performance, there is nothing to say
