Guns in real life have gotten larger and faster to fire in order to grant kills quicker and easier, yet how is it that in this game the further one cannon is progressed the worse it gets?
Take for example: Russian cannons. You start with Berezin 12.7s, they slap quite hard. Then ShVAKs, they are mid (used to be worse in the start, then good in the middle), evolving into NR23s which actually hit worse, then NR30s are mid at best, they’re easy to aim but mostly deliver fires or severe damages. GSh23L is the best gun in the game in my opinion though, cause I don’t understand how a single click (2 to 4 rounds) is enough to nuke a target while the NR23s are practically useless.
Now: Japanese cannons.
Naval line: Starting with Type 3 machine guns, they’re ok, they deliver lots of fires. Then Type 99s are hard hitting guns, then Type 5 30mm’s are mostly reliable but do severe damages at best.
Ground line: Ho-103 machine guns are absolutely devastating rivaling swedish 13mm’s in destructive power per round. Ho-5 20mm cannons are garbage, and Ho-155 30mm’s are practically useless because they explode AFTER trespassing the target.
Now take USA, their 50 cals are the best gun, they literally deal more damage per round than vulcan. So literally one second of 50 cals literally DOES deal more damage than one second of Vulcan, and consequently more than m39 t160s too.
