I’ve been flying more jets recently and I notice the F-106 does worse than other jets at its br, one factor that is because of its complete uselessness is that it has no countermeasures meaning a missile on your rear is instant death. From trying to grind sl with it it’s so painful to do anything when it is so much worse than other 9.0 jets. In my opinion it should be at 8.7 because it’s not really that good to be in 9.0, its missiles also ruin the jet because the missiles have a very high g tolerance but lose energy way to quickly to be used on other fighter jets, even if used on a bomber they are just flying faster or shake it off and flare it. It really sucks to see my free time that I spent over the summer got used for the worst jet I’ve played, and it makes me depressed to see many hours being put into it, I hope gaijin buffs it next update.
It’s easily a top 3 9.3 plane. Just stay fast, stay aware and only turn when safe to do so.

How are 8.7/90 subsonic planes with no countermeasures supposed to stay safe against someone twice as fast and slingging almost 30g missiles?
For comparison the F-1 is 10.0 with no radar missiles, also has no CMs and is slower

Not really I have played the a4e and it is fine
It’s a jet turn fighter and compared to the low skill floor of prop turn fighters, jet ones have an extremely high skill floor.
Oh and need near maxed crew. I learn this suffering in the recommend Italian premium plane that was recommend to me.
I dont want to play the us air tree that much german planes feel a lot better in realistic
Its just a weird pattern of flying.
Also don’t bother with the missiles, carry the IR ones to scare enemies when you are behind them.
