If they’re going to add more tanks but model them incorrectly is pointless.

Yes, thats what I wanted to say. We have a 2A7 ingame, but its shooting ammunition from like 25 years ago, it never used. Spalliners are part of the model, but check them out, they are off. It was fun for some time to not die to every shot, but then they suddenly were offlined. Also strangely the protection layout did not really change. You still have to play it like the Leopard 2A4 or A5. Don’t show ya hull etc.
Its like a loop and youre playing the same tank again and again. I bet when there’s the 2A8 we still shot DM53 and hull/ufp can be shot by anything. Nothing ever changes.

because prior to that it was consistently ground focused updates
We have missed so many tanks, IFVs and SAMs
Now we have modern day current tanks and the next step is tanks not even in service
Or tanks that are essentially copies slight differences that make no difference to game play.

I understand you, but the Armata is part of the tanks that have entered service, though it hasn’t participated in a war yet, nor the current war. It has many versions, and there is another tank similar to the T-90M, an export version called the T-90MS, which has many good features, including a reverse speed of over 11 km/h and the ability to fire anti-tank missiles. However, at least the reverse speed issue in Russian tanks exists. As for the Japanese tanks, what do you think about them? As for the Germans, Spall liners should be added as they were before, along with the cylinder that was recently added to half of NATO’s tanks, which causes the turret to stop working when hit anywhere, making it difficult to move or aim afterward. What do you think?

It did not enter service. It never advanced beyond the pre-production phase. Its not in production and the project is likely canceled. Ofc it will be in WT sooner or later, but its no service tank.

I mean technological development.
Of course there are a lot of tanks.
But the tanks in war thunder are already near what we have irl as the max, unlike planes.
So performance wise they are closer to the limit.
That’s what I meant, not number of tanks.
Hell there are loads of WW2 things, that should be added

One thing that we have missed out on, more so as aircraft expand in game, is ground vehicle features, technology that advanced with certain vehicles, APU, the electronic warfare equipment just to name a few.

I do not want to justify my mistake, but I was previously aware that the matter is documented on many news websites. I just tried to save time and let the AI respond based on the option of searching for trusted websites. However, if it hadn’t entered the service yet, it would have told me ‘No, the service has not been entered yet,’ so I could search for a reliable site that documents the entry of the Armata into service. Along with this, I acknowledge this mistake on my part 🤍.
It has passed (most of the trials) but is not being mass produced as the T-90 and T-80 fleet are more of a piority.
2S38 hasnt passed acceptance trials though so thats not a metric for not adding it.
This article claims the T-14 was deployed to face UA forces (Donbass highly unlikely) If any T-14s were to be deployed it would be Kursk…But we dont know in what capacity. Could be just like the Syrian trials

Things like APU are really missing, which would allow you to switch off engine. Also air conditioning and cooling of the tank interior. Injection of conditioned air into exhaust fumes. Multispectral camoflage. All these things to make it less susceptible to thermal viewers and ground radars.
Also no FCS modes, especially for Germany to allow unnerfed traverse @ rear arc in emergencies. FCS to hit moving targets and whatnot.
From Leopard 1 to Leopard 2A7 nothing really changed. You play one like another. Between A5 and A7 not even the protection patterns and ammunition changed. You have the same weakspots (hull, UFP) and also you still have to aim at the same weakspots on enemy tanks. Nothing changed, no real plus on protection or more advanced ammo to just penetrate ru tanks. Its stil DM53, since ages. The A7 has a higher pressure gun for reasons. And even A6 could finally get DM63 which would be less prone to detonate, thx to secure propellant.
There is absolutely no, no, no advancement in ground tech. Not even working spall liners…for reasons.

Though at this point I’d just take them being able to get up to speed in a time frame that wasn’t glacial.
