Why do we not have the American captured King Tiger or Stug in WT

The reason I ask this question is because any one of these two tanks would be perfect additions to WT and before people start hating, talking about how the tiger 2 wasnt used. IT STILL WAS CAPTURED… and the Stug had a photo taken of it in a column of trucks. So in conclusion… there is NO reason that none of these two can be in the game as an event or premium.

And there was a photo taken of the tiger as well

Gaijin has kinda moved away from adding captured tanks into other tech trees.

These shouldn’t be added in the American TT because they are not American tanks, and they take away spots where actual American tanks can go. Germany also doesn’t need some of their iconic tanks being copy/pasted to other trees.

More captured vehicles also opens up a can of worms regarding other stuff. Should the US get a Mig-21/23? Should Russia get an F-5 or leopard 2?

There are more requirements for a captured vehicle to be added then just it being captured. It does also have to have been trialed/tested by the capturing nation. Hence why russia wouldn’t get a leopard 2, as they only did destructive/pen testing on the captured ones.

Also there would be, many ways for the US to get MiG-21s, -23s, or even -29s in game. The US has bought them from nations selling old stockpiles on more then one occasion. So even without captures, there is actually some room for them to be added, although i personally agree they probably shouldn’t be.

You could play germany if you want to play King Tiger.

Thats the swedish Kungstiger, which was included into War Thunder. Recovered half rotten from a muddy ditch somewhere in post-war Western Europe. Ended like this, used on a shooting range as target. It never served within their ranks. Didn’t even had shells for it (since all production lines were gone).

Gajins standards to add “captured” units are rather low for some nations. One could understand when they add things like the French Panthers, which were operated by their armed forces. Or the German KV-1, T34 or Shermans captured tanks, which were operated by German forces and used in combat.

But something like the Kungstiger? Not really.

It was added as gaijin gave 1 of the only 2 heavy tanks Finland could add to Sweden to Germany so it was there way to replace that missing heavy, i and many others were against the Kungstiger when the KV-1B exists but gaijin chose the Kungstiger.

Sweden never bought Mi-28A, just tested it once. Never owned.

Why do they have it?

Finland has been Germany’s main ally since late World War 1. Fought together in two World Wars. So what?

Same with their T-80U.

Adding trial vehicles also makes little sense.
Just because they’ve driven the thing for couple of hours doesn’t mean that vehicle is theirs.

Damn, I wish to get to own the cars I’ve test driven.

Please make a suggestion about vehicles you’d like to see somewhere.

Before doing so however, please read the suggestion requirements. Thanks
