Why do r60m's actively ignore flares now?

Is not exactly what i have shown?

That they are not the same, thus should be treated differently;

The flare patent shows spectral radiance, across the listed bands of the EM spectrum over time.

The detector materiel chart gives the bandgap for the detectors for each missile’s seeker element and so could be overlaid (convolved) to produce the detected energy over time.(Wien’s displacement law could be used to radiated energy to fit the detector element’s bandgap exactly).

As can be derived by visual inspection the MJU-7/B flare’s energy is almost entirely captured by the PbSe 300K curve (1.2~4.5um, with a peak at 3.8um), while the InSb 77K curve (2~5.5um with a peak at 4.8um,) is less impacted by the Flare’s bandgap of 2~4.8um.

Also if you were to look at a radiating target, the black body radiation profile will depend on temperature, thus air friction and subsequently airspeed but you would need to be looking at near hypersonic targets to move the peak wavelength into the band where the PbSe seeker is efficient, let alone overcome the issue that it is less sensitive in the first place, and so has reduced range.

Sure Gaijin could implement a generic resistance level based of the Flare resistance excerpt, but the R-60 is definitely coming off worse. Gaijin would want to avoid claims about double standards, right?

Especially considering there is enough data to back it up.

Empty claims huh?

And? He cut off his afterburner while missile was still in 1.3km range which was more then enough to decoy it.

Man you’re hopeless.

Not at that time,… you’re not reading that description starts before the missile was fired,… i mean, you’re not gonna see that i was starting description from that point, …it’s not my problem if you understand thinks wrong.

yeah i guess the seeker head got it’s FOV reduced because turning around when the missile is leading on you will not work. I worked it out yesterday and they really are easy to flare.

standard caliber flares in general have been nerfed, not just BOL flares (pylon mounted pods) this is why the low temp MiG21 Bis will eat an aim9j head on from 800m away while it was flaring and the mig23 mld will flare aim9l’s and magic2’s easily-because except j35xs only russian rank8 plus have large caliber flares.

i’ve literally flared away aim9l’s with full burner on.

You posted this same exact thread few months ago. Complaining about r60s in top tier is plainly embarrassing fyi

that would be the case if they still acted as they’ve done for as long as I remember playing. They’re different now.

Even if this missile was unflarable, it will still be garbage. Even more so after some drag changes it had. It’s useless above 11.0, only good for pointblank headons, at that point you can use guns.

i’d rather play and see if something is changed or the OP is just wearing a tinfoil hat, instead of sitting on the computer and telling them its embarassing.

Just by the gist of it, win rates should tell you good enough that I’m right.

To add on this topic. If you are slow it’s less likely you will flare a missile (all types)

American players are trash on average, do you except higher winrates? Grippen probably has 70%-80%+ WR

That’s turbo copium and a strawman. Just throw it up close, you’re very likely never going to have to fire a missile 3+km away and expect it to arrive quickly because the meta is furballs where people is 2km away from each other as much. And even yet the r60 being fired from 2km will arrive at the target earlier than the aim9l does.

America and Russia fight together against each other from br11.0 ahead.

You don’t play the gripen. (these are your stats and even yet it wouldn’t matter, you really can’t convey that an IR missile that shuts it’s seeker off like a white shark biting closes its eyes is actually better than an IR missile that pulls 40g’s and shrinks it’s field of view onto the nozzle)

You don’t know what any of that means, actually you are straight up projecting.

Stupid low iq take. Air RB isn’t the only gamemode out there. And tail chases can happen. But I doubt you can imagine that.

XD? Is the said target frozen in time and space?

So you pulled my stats instead of global. Good job you’re this oblivious. Not that I use the f16c in ground rb or anything. Yes the r73 is broken which makes it inferior, TVC is nullified when the missile wobbles and spins out of control

time to go grind MiG-23ML while R-60s are broken

İts not compeletly broken but likes to do bs things from time to time.

who’s projecting here? you barely even know what you’re talking about.

r60M’s, magic 2s and aim9j’s are more suiting for the meta than aim9l’s aim9m’s because despite their short range they pull harder from the start and are much quicker. You don’t need to launch missiles from 4km away and when you do you usually are above everyone, which means you will eat an r24r or a 27er. Only soviet and chinese jets have high altitude privileges, and the mirage 2000 but only sometimes. Tomcats have to go low as quick as possible after their missiles go pitbull.
