Playing british tanks at br 5-8 with apds is great if you want to only get kill assists since it almost always takes more than one shot to kill a tank. APDS is good for a few things, like punching through cold war heavies, and hitting things at long range when you dont have a laser

I remember the events where you had to get 20 assists or so, where it was impossible to do it with tanks with APHE, while with the British it was quite easy to achieve thanks to the ridiculous damage.
I’ve played a bit of British 6.0 to 7.7 BR recently and its crazy. You can pen almost anything, but the damage is so low haha
