They dont have poor armor (except the m6 that thing is just sad t1e1 is much better and it is basically the same tank with a better transmission)
It comes down to BR.
T25, M26, and T26E1,T32E1 are all 1 br too high. Its been a runninrg joke. M26 has the mobility of a Tiger 2 but nowhere near the armor or gun. T26E1 trades even more of that mobility for a patchwork armor and an incredibly long reload gun that give it nowhere near the reliability or flexibility of a tiger 2 with few actual positives. T32E1 is a T32 with only a meanigless UFP upgrade that protects you against nearly nothing the T32’s armor layout doesn’t already. 7.7 for a tank with a 19s reload 90mm is pathetic.
That being said, T26e5 is rather well armored and the T32 is one of the better heavies in the game. The M4 105 is the best armored low teir tank by a long margin and the 75 jumbo does the job of a heavy very well.
Ik ive spaded both t26 heavies i just need to know which one the guy who made the post is on about because t26 isnt really narrowing it down outside of the fact theres 2 t26 heavies
You know you can hit the hath,Lower plate,Mantel and Machine to kill it?
So? All heavy tanks have weak spots - every single one. It still has great armor and is very survivable.
Blocking weakspots with bushes is a sin worse than bushing up the entirety of your tank
Go backwards
M4 105 is a nightmare to face, it should be 3.3. Have fun fighting it with low caliber 40-45mm guns which are still common around 3.0. Even the stronger guns at the BR have serious issue penning it such as the 6-pounder, KwK 39, or L-11.
Not to mention the overpressure mechanic.
lol, what?
t26e5 is absolutely amazing, t26e1-1 is kinda meh, but both still have amazing armour so idk what you’re on about
I agree!
The t26e1 has bigger weak points over the t26e5, but had a longer and ultimately better gun
yes, i use it if its even tier/uptier, but i honestly like the short 90 since the much better reload.
When you put the M6 backwards its rear is decent. The problem honestly with the M6 is that it would perform better at lower BRs than at upper BBrsbut due its 90mm is ap excuse enough to keep it at the five-seven battle rating.
M6 has a 76 and 37. You are thinking of the t1e1 90mm
The T26E1-1 Super Pershing has okay-ish armour for a heavy tank. In full down tiers, it can be dependable.
I just play the Super Pershing as a sniper tank with its long 90mm reload and try to avoid getting hit mainly in the first place since its unique armour isn’t that reliable against Soviet 122mm and German long 88mm. The add-on armour could be historically buffed to be slightly better since it is currently modelled as 38.1mm of ‘Structural steel’ instead of Boiler plate (which is known to be a much higher quality steel).
The T26E5 Jumbo Pershing meanwhile has incredible extra frontal armour welded over the regular M26 armour despite the downgrade to the regular 90mm M3 you can at least reload and shoot faster compared to the long 90mm T15E1. It’s pretty much impervious to most tank guns and conventional shells it can face at its BR except for the machine gun port and HEATFS/APDS rounds. I think the lower front plate side bulges are still incorrect visually as they stick out more than the real photos of the T26E5. Still one of my favourite and best heavy tanks to easily get a nuke in.
As for the M6 heavy tank, it’s a little interesting as there are many weak spots as well (double hull machine guns, UFP corners, ammo inside the tracks) as trolly parts (vision/driver ports, double mantlet) frontally. So it’s a really awkward tank to play sometimes. The vertical gyro stabilizer (only for the 76mm version) and mobility are very nice to use on it. Overall its RHA armour is better than the cast armour T1E1 version but with a worse reverse speed gear. The Battlepass event M6A2E1-1 heavy tank is the best-protected of all the M6 series with its add-on 50.4mm sloped RHA plate but is gigantic in profile and still has the corner/track ammo weak spot along with a massive turret ring that can be shot
What. Thats the only thing american heavies usually do really well, m4 jumbo, t26e5/-1, t34, m103, t25e1.
Spoiler
thanks for the advice never realized that
