Climb probably isnt affected in a meaningful way, only top speed at low altitude was nerfed by around 60-80kph in every variant
I’m entirely unaware of M61 related issues.
I’m only aware of thrust curve changes to F-15s with PW-220s, and all F-16s [and F-2A].

It’s a thrust curve change.
It’s a “nerf” in post-mach thrust [thrust above mach 1], and a buff until ~0.95 - 1.0 mach.
There’s only a post-mach thrust increase around 4000 - 6000 meters by the looks of it.
At 8000 there’s no change post-mach which explains a bit.

All I know is that before the update you could do about 1510 kph at sea level with the F-16C and now you stop at around 1450.
The F-16D could do 1460 and now won’t push past 1390 kph
Despite increased thrust at mid speed, the acceleration and top speed are reduced. Something else is at play, in this case it’s the additional drag of M61 I believe.
F-15 and F-104 are also good examples to explain this.
I tested the F-111 with and without gun just now and the difference is just like 6-8 kph less top speed at sea level which is caused by the slight added parasitic drag of the gun port that you can see in the loadout menu. So in the case of the advark doesnt seem to have any extra drag bug with the m61 gun.
I don’t remember the exact top speed of the F-104 or F-15 before the update to draw an exactt conclusion.
I think the F-15A was around 1450-1470 maybe? Now I can reach 1428kph
The F104 if I recall correctly would go over 1400kph now I can only reach 1365kph
