Why can't we grind coastal with bluewater?

You cant kill “more” that is already dead and just experiencing the loose neuron firing

Havent tried in progress but I do check all servers. The other problem is once you get above like 3.0 you are fighting bluewater ships and coastal vessels are relegated to capping points pretty much and the grind even with premium vessels becomes maybe worse than heli PVE ever was.

It’s more that helicopters are lacking their proper own gamemode, only recently have they gotten heli PvE and it has it’s own issues.
Coupled with their cost, the general economy issues, and the fact that even in ground battles helicopters have very limited effectiveness, they are nearly impossible to efficiently grind.

While these issues are mirrored to some extent by coastal vessels, they avoid the time of life based reward issue since you can first spawn them, which is enough to make them grindable, albeit being an absolute pain.

Do you even tried to grind?

Sorry but it is just for money, no other reason.

There is no “Costal VS Costal” mode after a certain BR, so the only difference is the lower BR range for costal. If was one tree and it could be one tree.

But a Rank 5 costal at 3.7 for 5k GE is more alluring for gaijin than a Rank 3 one for 1k GE.

The Irony is that I probably would play some of the later stuff and would definetly enjoy having a Type 21 frigate (when they get added) as part of my bluewater line-up, but just grinding through 2.7 at the moment and its a slog, if I could skip the next few ships by grinding them with bluewater instead, id probably actually play more coastal than I do currently.

But the top tier coastal premiums would never get purchased

Im stuck in 2.x before I gave up, even at 3.7 half your lobby is bots, and you got like 10k rp for 13 kills with premium granted when i was doing coastal bots didnt give full rp so im sure that helps now.

Like morvran said there is no coastal matches above like what 2.7 3.0? You have to fight bluewater ships which love to go bully in the kiddie pool. I just want some coastal ships to bring to 7.0 besides the event and premium ones I have.

There is just random “costal” match above 3.0, don’t forget that 3.3 could appear at 2.3, 3.7 at 2.7, 4,0 at 3.0, yes chances are lower, cause there is way more 3.3+ fights of just starting players and 4.3 which is way more populated the lower tiers, but that’s not the Naval modes problem, you have the same in all modes, cause players progress and go higher and higher. A also you suppose to bring bluewater with you when you 3.3 and above WT is a lineup game being disappointed to play against bluewater it’s like being disappointed to play full lineup of bombers and complain that fighters hunt and kill you.


it’s actually pretty good, other modes you can only wish for those numbers for that amount of time with this effort. In naval modes is way easier to get mastery bonuses just play smart and kill more easy targets.

I really wonder why these posts never ask vice versa, or ask for remerged TT’s instead.

I’d wish vice versa as I’d be researching dreadnoughts with equally costing frigates, corvettes & destroyers heh all while making absolutely no SL due to the economy of those ships, e.g: Type 41 AA Frigate or Ayanami class Destroyer per match are the most expensive ships.

Cause they don’t want to play costal, they want to grind them with their favorite prem ship, and then abuse those costals that imbalanced.

While I can see that & tbh that’s what everyone did in the old TT as most of what’s these TT’s were Ranks I & II then were easily researched with the Rank III premium destroyers, but it’s basically the same vice versa as I would totally research the 7.0’s with the powerhouse 4.0’s all while not dealing with above 5.0 MM.

Logically this is probably why the devs haven’t allowed it to happen, although a remerged tree would solve it anyway.

Some would, probably me too. But this kind of thing would be detrimental to getting game queues filled in actual Coastal battles.
They really just simply need to reduce the SL and RP costs to a more rational level as if they were still the first half of the naval tree, which is really what it is.
There is no reason why Gaijin should have costs so high other than they are doggedly sticking to their tree level scaling factor. And greed. But the game play value to cost/time required isn’t great enough. And that is why no one plays it until they fix the root problem.

or increase the RP gain at least

I wish they would return the PVP with a +/- 1.0 BR to PVP helo battles and added in some Air battle maps. Since they can balance for specific game modes now the Vikhr issue that killed Helo PVP is moot.

Ya i dont understand why the trees are seperated when it does essentially nothing for gameplay. If they were together effectively nothing would change, you would still have coastal only matches at the same BR brackets you do now.

The only thing that changed is they can crank up the RP/SL requirements to astronomical levels for low BR ships and charge t7 prices for what would be t3 premiums. It might be one of the scummiest things they ever did.

And yet you can research helicopters from ground. Curious
