I’ve recently been playing a bit of Air Realistic, and have grinded the F-16 PoBit. It’s pretty dumb that if you want more chaff/flares, you have to give up two missiles. If you want more chaff/flares, why should you have to trade two missiles for them? In real life, the F-16 would it carry both?
Just do one pylon instead of two dude and the system is not the same and isn’t rated for A2A weaponry
The Terma PIDS+ is chiefly for air-to-ground munitions, it is based off of the F-16’s WWP (from Lockheed Martin. Terma claims that PIDS is based on this). It has been seen only with ground stores (as far as the consensus goes).
Without bolt-on adapters, and/or removing the pneumatic eject system from the pylon, it’s doubtful that a rail of the MRL (LAU-127 – LAU-129) (AMRAAM pylon), 16S210 (Sidewinder pylon for F-16s), or a LAU-117 (Maverick rail) will be physically able of being mounted, if it even is compatible with the data transfer standards. Weight restrictions shouldn’t be a problem as it’s rated for much heavier ordinances.
Judging by the fact that a BRU-61/A (GBU-39 SDB 1 quad-rack) can be mounted with PIDS+, the pylon is at least compatible with MIL-STD-1760 Type 2.
