Why can't the 65-ton Merkava Mark IV tank defend against the 3BM42 armor-piercing projectile even on its front armor?

If the Merkava Mark IV can’t even stop the 3BM42,then how is it supposed to face the T-90 tanks possessed by Egypt and the Karrar main battle tanks possessed by Iran?Don’t tell me that the Israeli Ministry of Defense hasn’t considered these threats!

In an Ideal, conventional war, Israeli tanks will never encounter enemy armor. Anti-tank weaponry is Israel’s specialty. Spikes hitting tanks over hills, the IAF crushing enemy armor defenses with SPICE 250s, Pereh slinging spike NLOS targeting known positions over 30 km away. As a safety measure, protection against at least 3bm42 was needed for the reassurance.

Sources claims it can stand ke-w so it should stop 3bm60 at min with scrifising the powerpack and even more (around 500mm of protection on the ufp)
And ofc the turret is even stronger

This guy is preparering a big bug report u can look at his article

This protection analysis looks familiar. 3bm42 pens all MBTs, except the very top tier Leopards…

And every russian top tier tank, Abrams, leclerc…

The latest discovery shows that the front armor of the Merkava 4M can’t even withstand the armor-piercing rounds from the T-72A!That’s just outrageous!

its like when object 292 came out. after a lil while of it being out. the damage model was actually artificially buffed above what a regular t-80 damage model would be until they reverted it. so yes they are deliberately weakening the merkava mk4

the armor values are less effective in KE values than rubber fabric screens on the merkavas composites. which is an absolute joke and has been proven for anyone who is uneducated on that. gaijin needs to show love to Israel tech tree. rather they show absolute neglect
