Why not just an US variant instead of which they have plenty and likely unique ones too? Why does it specifically need to be Iranian just to add inconsistency for no other reason than making people more confused?

Event / premiums most standardly arent your normal in service variants but are required to have special features / ideas to be viable and be more intresting to buy
The USA has indigenous unique options. It doesn’t need to be unnecessarily Iranian.

which could end up in the tech tree, why waste tech tree stuff when u can put sth else as a premium, that wouldnt quite fit into the tech tree
There’s more than enough for the tech tree too. America has such a huge military industrial base that they’ve produced more variants than this game could fit in.
Not to even talk about the reskin premiums that are based on just people that flew them or some other history beauty mark.

doesnt matter, they treat every country the same.
they try to avoid those most of the time, its a last measure if there realy arent other options left.
copy paste premiums / events is stuff that veterans dont necesarily buy.
As example russia, has the Mig 23ml, su 39 premiums, why should someone that already owns the Mig-23ml premium buy the SU-39 premium, if he can just research the Su-25T?
They are almost identical. Gajin wants to add unique premiums / events that veteran players will buy as well, cause they or similar versions cant be found in the techtree.
USA helis, RAH-66 it sells well specialy cause it is different to the standard apaches.
Would they have added another apache, people wouldnt have been intrested
German air, why should someone ever buy the Tornado IDS WTD66 or SU-22M4 if you already have bought the tech tree equivalents or already own the tornado ids MFG?
And before you answer you buy them for the premium status, just talismaned a tech tree variant on sale which is cheaper for veterans.

Talisman vehicles don’t give the SL bonus and locking unique gameplay behind payment is scummy practice. Though the F-14 is a bad example because most of them play the same anyways. No real reason to have an Iranian vehicle in the US TT.

And the iranian F-14 definitly has a place in the US. Its still an F-14. it didnt deverge enough like lets say the recent T-84, which became its own thing.
Same reason the canadian Leo 2a4m Can still is in the german tree. German developed, produced, modified. Perfect premium, unique history. different look
from what i’ve heard it mainly depends on which severs you are playing on, on US servers they kinda get stomped, i’ve heard they are better on EU servers, not sure about the rest though
I use em on US and stomp with them.
Yeah and if people keep trying to take vehicles from that industrial base to different tech trees it takes away from US additions
