The Rafale, Eurofighter, F-15, and F-18 have terrible base/flight models; it’s almost impossible to use the cannon with them at low speeds, and to be honest, it’s unpleasant to play with these planes in a close-range duel, something that doesn’t happen in DCS. In War Thunder, this arcade-style AOA is very noticeable, and even just at 500 km/h, the Rafale becomes horrible and unstable, turning before stalling as if it bleeds all its energy in a simple turn, and besides that, it starts to become unstable to the sides as if it were without the “SAS” activated.
Because the modern planes in this game are operated without limits whether AOA, G or Pilot G, when in other games when it isn’t possible or beneficial.
can you give a demonstration of this, like a video?
“Arcade style AoA” so uhh, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but warthunder often handles AoA and energy retention better then many DCS models, and especially compared to the DCS F/A-18 model.
IRL, with limiters off, the F/A-18 can pull over 60 degrees AoA, so uh, yeah.
What game mode are you playing in? Sim i assume cause you mentioned SAS modes?
