As for the protection data, essentially it’s a python script that scans an entire vehicle’s front in a e.g. 600x500 large grid. For each grid the cursor is placed on the tank, and the result of the protection analysis is recorded by taking a screenshot and reading the values from it (i.e the images you see), it is basically a significantly more advanced version of Gaijin’s protection analysis, but it also takes much longer (10+ hours) to make it.

If one day the Brits grab some T-90 from the USSR and modify the armor plates to use the rare earth metal known as vibranium that belongs to the aliens that crashed into planet Earth, then they officially deploy them out on missions. WT devs gonna add this superior version of T-90 to the tech tree/premium then Brits will have a version that is better than the OG bro.
With Italy the same. For some reason the ‘italian’ Tiger tank got applique armor added, which makes it less penetrable by 76mm US shells (while angled). Similar to German Leopard tanks beeing inferior to swedish ones.
They have exactly the same spall liner layout while the Strv 122s have better armor lmao.
The most probable explanation is that GJ doesnt want to deal with constant crying of US and RU players that Ger OP. Just the experience of the last years on how the community reacted to proposals for german vehicles/devblogs gave the impression that GJ just follows suit of the communities hate towards Germany.
The reasons why I think of this is for one the reasons US and RU vehicles are implemented purposefully breaking the game without the bat of an eye. While german counterparts are held back with reasons of being “Too advanced”/“would break the game” etc. Just remember the USH from Wish implemented for Germany, that was percieved OP by the community. The USH on the other hand that could halve a team within 30sec of matchstart on some maps, that wasnt OP.
Same with AA ammo for German SPAA, Wirbel and Kugel were percieved OP because they could kill tanks, guess what, the swedish, french, chinese AA´s at the same BR´s can also do it and have even more pen. There are far too many instances of double standards for Germany and US/RU vehicles in game that its far too tedious to write them all down.

It is normal, the Chinese versions are quite a few years later than the Soviet versions, and many of the Chinese ones have the Western cannon.
This has to be the most German main thing that I have read today. The US was one of the least “advanced” nations at top tier for the past few years. Being the only nation to not have a 2000s MBT. Hell MBT wise the US is still dealing with an older flagship MBT than the other nations.
Germany and the US were in a pretty similar position before air superiority, thing is that it slightly improved for Germany while the US got a worse version of the same tank.
Not to mention that minor nations that have more modern stuff than Germany that is even worse than the 2A5 lmao, Germany’s 3-4th spawn tank.
Maybe, just maybe, the problem isn’t German suffering and your victim complex. The problem is Gaijin’s Swedish power fantasy.

May be a bit late to say but. The STRV 122 does have a lot more armor than the Leopard 2a7. Reason being they tested this during the trials of 2000 in Sweden. Where they had ‘‘Leopard improved GER’’ and ‘‘Leopard improved SWE’’ 2 different sollutions to chose from. They chose the Swedish sollution due to being more protective all in all. The German version later became ofcourse. The Leopard 2a7. Whilst the Swedish became the STRV 122.
I do have images of said results, armor values from 2000 tests but i rather not post them personally. But they are on google, you can easily find them there by searching ‘‘Swedish tank trials 2000 Leopard improved armor value’’

There are more than 20 years between the swedish tests and the 2A7 aswell. Taking the swedish test for information on the 2A7 is stupid in the first place
Funny enough if sweden buys the 2A8 they would downgrade their armor if we use gaijin logic
