Why are naval battles neglected?

the very slow distance change/update as well as cannons not instantly traversing for that new distance is what makes this game mode hard for me

I tend to grab a years worth of premium in the winter sale and premium vehicles in the summer/winter sales. But yeah, they do cost a lot. Some of the earlier destroyers though are rather cheap and might be all you need.

Well. That is realistic so I dont mind that

But yeah, its one of my top QoL changes they need to make. Actually, might work on a suggestion for it

low tier destroyers have pretty bad silver multiplier, so ill get the ship to grind for my future squadron tanks to buy, hah

would rate +1!

okay, maybe thats too much im asking for, but then we could have less dynamic lead triangle at least… Especially in terms of elevation, right now, it glows green even if you aim 2 times higher than the target is, in reality

That marker is just the lead, not the range.

so I need to do my own guess on how quickly the distance is growing/closing and then shoot on the marker?

Essentially, yes. with practice you get the feel for exact how much or how little you need to adjust by but the UI in the top left will tell you how much your rounds are missing by, just adjust your aim by the amount it says.

Also, the marker is just the centre point of the ship. Which is fine for hitting something like the boiler room, but most ships, you want to be aiming for the magazines which are below the turrets normally. So you want to be adjust your aim accordinly

sadly I don’t understand water physics in this game so if my shells dive underwater (and ammo racks are almost below the waterline)they do not deal any damage, I think its easier to kill whole crew, but where do I shoot and do I just fire HE? I believe the tower? In armor view it doesn’t have much armor, if any at all (im not a ships guy, so correct me on proper names)

The best place to aim is typically the water line / the side of the ship. You’ll cause flooding and do the most crew damage. Aiming for the Citadel and turrets can also be good to knock out those modules and typically they have a lot of crew.

I cant speak for all nations. But for Britain SAP is very good.

Cause Naval in general kinda suck. We all love big boat big floating metal thing but the gameplay is one of the worst in the game. It does not offer a good experience. It is a slow and dreadful experience compare to other mode

The biggest complaint over the years has been aiming. People can’t aim, don’t read on how to do it.

Hence they quit and don’t come back.

Game is much better now than years earlier.

2nd complaint is wait time.

3rd complaint is number of players.

Once you get use to the controls game play is good.

GRB and naval are equally slow but in naval you feel the immense power of your ships, in GRB only modded or top tier tanks are playable, the rest is slow garbage.

I like naval idea no matter how slow it is, I just need to get used to aiming and stop seeing Russian wunderwaffe missile cruiser

Pretty sure you messed them up but if you think so then aight , you do you

Gaijin handled naval atrociously from the very beginning. You had to buy a rather expensive premium boat to join closed beta test and it felt more like alpha testing with the amount of bugs and unfinished mechanics. Gaijin introduced naval with small boats with anything bigger than destroyers being left at “maybe” for years. The grind was terrible, even worse than tanks, and balance almost non-existent. They stubbornly stuck to the same old “capture 3 points” objective as if you were playing floating tanks, with maps full of spawn-to-spawn shooting. And then they split off bluewater from coastal, so if you bought a coastal premium to grind ships you got screwed over.

Things have gotten better, at least for bluewater, but coastal remains as a mess. Boats are just too fragile. It’s like they wanted to add tank gameplay, but forgot that tanks can easily move in and out of cover, use armor and angling for some survivability and it takes some knowledge and skills to aim for weakspots. With boats the crew system means modules are meaningless, as long as you hit the enemy somewhere with crew you’ll damage it. It’s all about who has the highest burst mass and more crew to absorb return fire.

And the grind. The rate of progress on coastal is absolutely ludicrous, it makes the helicopter grind seem very reasonable in comparison.

I didnt mess anything up I wanted to tell about, after maining France GRB for 2021-2023 period and then Germany and US GAB for 2024-now, I realized how much pain I could have avoided if I stayed in AB, these RP and silver multipliers mean nothing really because you can play quick 2-3 arcade battles per 1 realistic battle and have a great chance in getting more RP by just playing aggressively (best tactic there). And I heard arcade also gives more silver, but I need to check personally because I haven’t noticed any difference
upd: RB gives more silver but AB/RB have identical RP multipliers, no matter the rank

but ships are different to me, NRB is more interesting than NAB, personally. Dynamics do not change much (this is what I dislike about GRB, awful dynamics) but its closer to being realistic in terms of interface (there are markers but ships are generally more difficult to notice, you can be sneaky unlike in GAB)

Because they poorly implemented the mode as a rehash of the already struggling ground mode when they first added ships. Which made people not want to play it. So Gaijin put less effort into it. So people played it less. So Gaijin puts less effort into it. So people play it less. So Gaijin puts less effort into it. So people play it less. So Gaijin puts less effort into it…
Repeat ad infinitum.
